Re: overstock on counterparty
@coinfire
@rob Does every feel as much as I do that Adam has really helped Counterparty's launch? Yes, they seem to have been the first to market with a fully functional product, which may have been all they needed. But Adam really recognized them early, and jumped on board full force with LTBc, Tatiana Coin, and CoinPowers.
Or am I just seeing the world through LTB-colored glasses? I see a huge number of assets listed with Coinpowers, but all I've looked at have less than five asset holders (most have one). Are there any Counterparty assets that have seen more action than LTBc and TC?
Nope, you are totally right from my non LTB-colored outside viewpoint ;)
Swarm, Storjcoin and Foldingcoin also come to mind. Although looking back those 3 were also helped quite a bit with LTB in one way or another. I guess somebodies gotta be the one to push this stuff out there :p
@irnhnve As for counterparty, I doubt theyll get heavily involved. Look at all the problems counterparty is having with wallet functionality. Again why would Overstock risk get heavily involved in a technology that still malfunctions in its basic functionality?
Yeah, IMO biggest thing holding counterparty back is the lack of solid wallets that are usable. Counterwallet is alright, but because its an entirely client side web wallet and built in javascript, has all sorts of browser issues and can become very slow especially if you have a lot of different addresses and/or tokens. Not to mention other random bugs, missing features or just a clunky UI. There needs to be counterparty plugins/extensions for popular wallets like electrum, a wallet that you can download and use on your desktop, and also a good mobile app. Sucks right now that the only usable option is counterwallet

Re: I feel like LTBc is ruining the the forums completely...
@cryptomatic I think that will definitely help as well. I try to flag as many as I catch but some of them are just on the fence and I cant tell if it's just poor English or spam.
Yeah, I have that problem as well. There are a lot of non english speakers and people from all around the world on here. Sometimes it can be hard to tell if they just do not know or understand english very well or are deliberately trying to spam or post crap

Re: I feel like LTBc is ruining the the forums completely...
If you see spam, or just blatant nonsense posts, feel free to use the "Flag/Report" link, either myself or another mod should take care of them, and take care of the user themselves if they become a problem. I agree that spam is a bit of a problem at the moment, but we are trying to keep a handle on it.
I think once we have a good upvote/downvote system in place as well as some of the other improvements to the forums then it will be a lot better. People that post useless crap will just get downvoted to hell. Also, right now if a mod comes and removes somebodies post, they actually get negative participation points. So if you spam or post junk all the time and still manage to not get banned, you can actually be automatically excluded from the weekly LTBC rewards.

Re: BIP38 Paper Wallet service
@yousure This isn't a real bounty, it's impossible to retreive it...
That is, of course, if you believe anything is truly impossible given enough time. You could look at it as a bounty to find a flaw in the BIP38 proposal :P.
But yeah, the idea is that nobody is going to get that BTC.
yeah, maybe call it something other than a bounty? I have a feeling its going to sit there forever :p
wallets look great though. Im going to move this thread to "Other Projects" instead of "General"

Re: PETAMINE.XCP - Mine bitcoin with your counterwallet! [Vote Complete]
@toby27 Ups.. I don't have any amount btc balance in my counterwallet so I can't vote right now,but I support whatever vote result.
It's only few cents, you can earn the satoshis by selling some LTBc if you don't have any.
I see trade option at counterwallet menu,is it mean i can sell some lbtc at counterwallet? Never try it before..
You can, but its kind of a pain in the ass to use the decentralized exchange on counterwallet, and you also still have to pay transaction fees for placing your orders etc.. probably easier for you to use Melotic: https://www.melotic.com/markets/ltbc-btc
so far looks like option #3 is winning. voting ends on Oct 1st
