So for those of you who want to "Sign a Message" instead of "Make a Small Donation" I am going to attempt to make this guide as easy as possible. I will be importing your BTC counterwallet address to blockchain.info as counter party still produces "invalid" signatures.

I will assume you already have a bitcoin wallet with https://blockchain.info/wallet/ If not, go create that now and come back to this guide remember: save your private keys and passwords in a responsible manner (pretend they are real wallets, full of real money and don't carelessly leave them laying around for anyone to pick up)

So you have created a blockchain wallet, and a counterwallet and your at the LTB home page logged in to your account and are at the "Dashboard" page. Should look like this:

Step 1: Click on the "Address Manager" tab on left down toward bottom. You should see something like this (obviously your address will be different):

So Click on "Sign a Message" and you should be here (again your message will be different):

Step 2: Leave this page open and in another tab on your browser go log into your counterwallet which should put you somewhere like this:

Click on "Address Actions" and then "Show Private Key"" which should bring up this warning screen:

Assuming no one is looking over your shoulder with a camera to snap shot your private key, Click on "Show Private Keys" again and you should see this: (your key will be different of course and this one is an empty wallet)

Step 3: Now leaving this tab also open and in another (3rd) tab open www.blockchain.info and log into your blocckchaiin wallet you should see this:

Now Click on "import / export" and you will get this warning:

Click on "I Understand" (even if you don't) and your brought to here:

Enter your Blockchain wallet password and Click "continue" now you should see this: (sorry I didn't realize I had left a BTC Address in the top field, the fields will all be blank)

Step 4: Now return to the tab with your cocunterwallet open in it and highlight and copy (ctrl + C) the "private key should look like this:

Step 5: Now move over to the tab with your blockchaiin wallet open in it and paste (ctrl +V) that private key in the field labeled "Import Private Key" as you can see I have done here:

Now click "Add Private Key" and your taken to here:

Now here your given two choices, but for this guide we are just going to choose "Import Directly" which means any BTC paid to this address will be kept in this address. So if you haven't yet, Click "Import Directly" and you land here:

Click "Import Directly" once again and you should see something flash up in the right telling you it was imported correctly and land back at your wallet home page, if you now Click on "Receive Money" you should see two addresses like this:

The lower one is the one you just imported. So to the right of that address Click "Address Actions" and then "Sign Message" you should see this:

Step 6: Now return to the tab with your LTB wallet open (1st Tab) and under "Sign Message" you will see a unique set of 12 alphanumeric characters, this is the "message" you are trying to sign. So highlight and copy those (Ctrl +C). Below you see mine highlighted:

Step 7: Now back to the tab with your blockchaini wallet (3rd Tab) and we are going to paste this in the field labeled "Message" where it says "enter the message you wish to sign". (Click inside the box and hit Ctrl + V). When that is done Click "Sign Message" and you should see this:

Now highlight and copy (Ctrl + C) that long alphanumeric "signature" Once that is done return to the tab with your LTB wallet in it (1st Tab). Under where it says "Sign Message" there is a box to paste the "signature" You can see mine is pasted in that box below:

Step 8: Last step is to just Click "verify"! Now if everything was done correctly (and I made this guide correctly) You should see this:

See a Green "Verified!" ?? well there you have it! Your ready to collect LTBCoins for your participation in Adam's brilliant little experiment (not saying he did it all by himself mind you, but I think of him as the Chief Creative Officer) and it is brilliant!

Hope this guide helps some of you with no BTC to donate! Oh you can now go log out of all your wallets open in those three tabs and close the tabs. Hope you recorded all your private keys and passwords securely and FYI: For anyone thinking I exposed my private keys making this guide, all the keys and accounts shown in this guide are empty and created only to create this guide. . .there is no money to steal so go earn it producing something of value!

    Awesome post.

It seems this is a similar process to how you would just sign a transaction (without using LTBcoin/counterwallet), right?

I have always wondered how to do that. Definitely favoriting this!

Question, if I import my counter wallet keys into my blockchain, then send it back, will I still have my current LTBC balance?
