While most altcoins are getting slaughtered, LTC shines propelled higher by Litepay and a new fork. Bitcoin continues its gains as well but stopped short of a new rally. Bitcoin Higher but Stops Short of New Rally Bitcoin prices traded even higher si...

Re: opinions on the trezor hardware wallet?
@bcohen @cryptonaut Yup --In fact I mentioned that in my ticket that I see that there is a new receiving addresses and that this address does not have a balance either. I noted that I thought new receiving addresses were auto generated for privacy reasons which makes sense to me...
I'll keep you posted.
sounds good. yeah kind of surprising actually there is no way to see where your change is going

Re: opinions on the trezor hardware wallet?
Yup .. but that doesn't necessarily mean I can't retrieve my BTC.
But this is kinda spooky. Conspiracy minded in me wonders what the worst case scenario could be and its not pretty (which includes being able to retrieve my BTC). Or i'm just a dork and don't know what i'm doing.
I would guess that it is probably change addresses. trezor tries to give you a new receiving address after every transaction (you can choose to use older ones though) and it also sends change in transactions to new change addresses. As far as I can tell there is no place that you can see a list of your change addresses... probably something they should add

Re: opinions on the trezor hardware wallet?
I have one and have been testing on and of for the past few weeks.
How do you verify what you see in your Trezor is actually there?
Might sound like a ridiculous question but something doesn't make sense.
I have a support ticket open in regards to publicly verifying/auditing BTC balance in Blockchain.info (Zero) vs. balance I see in Trezor (not Zero).
Do you mean that you see a balance on mytrezor.com, but when looking at your receiving addresses on blockchain.info they are all empty?

Re: Overstock Hires Counterparty Developers: Building Stock Exchange
was just about to post this actually, looks like you beat me to it.
Great news IMO. Big boost for counterparty. I could care less about the XCP price though

Re: [Announce] EmailMe - Get Emailed When You Get Paid
@davidareallen While I cannot verify that people from Indonesia are of a particular race, the notion of location being a determining reeks of Nationalism rather than Racism, which in my mind is much worse. We all have biases, but the issue here on the forums is neither. It is an issue of personal responsibility. Being anonymous is like a free ticket to say anything with no consequences.
racism, nationalism... you know what I mean :p nothing against them, and the specific place or nationality or whatever doesnt really matter, it was just an observation that I have had over the past few months. Just seems really weird that almost every problem user we have had happens to apparently be from the same region. Not really sure what to make of it
@deweller Reputation systems also help. And I think a reputation with a rewards coin like LTBcoin will be even better.
Yeah, I think general reputation system along with upvotes/downvotes is the way to go, I dont agree with making people use their real identities, especially since this is bitcoin we are talking about... although people can choose to use real names if they want.

Re: [Announce] EmailMe - Get Emailed When You Get Paid
OK. This message is a prime example of why I don't want to participate in these forms. The message simply does not make any sense, and there may be a number of reasons for it. Langauge differences is the most obvious, so there is no blame being attached to this - it simply makes it too difficult to participate.
Social engineering of Electronic Bulletin Boards (which this is) has been going on since the 1980's.
Having a plan to make individuals accountable on a private system always comes back to using real names.
In the next Tokenly systems this may not be an issue, but here today.... dog food.
Off topic and not really trying to be racist or anything like that... but isnt it kind of weird that like 99% of the spam and nonsense posts that get made here come from people in indonesia? whats up with that?

Re: [PETAVOTE Result] New token bootstrapping discussion
@troy112 I don't get it, Won't the entry price for new tokens depend on what new asserts we invest in. I like your formula, but in my opinion, to get the best value, new buys should not be done for 1 week.
After that we can get the price of our new tokens.
And ROI in 6 months is a pretty tough task!!
Yeah, your probably right. So you think we should wait until the first full week of new dividends before accepting new funding deposits? I am OK with that.
idk, 6 months ROI is potentially doable I think, but yeah could be difficult. The thing is, in bitcoin land 6 months is a long time and not many things last a full year :p would (last dividend) X (52 weeks) work better though?
I think we will go ahead and use SPECULATE for the token name. I have it purchased already, so sometime today I will send out some tokens and make the private board
