While most altcoins are getting slaughtered, LTC shines propelled higher by Litepay and a new fork. Bitcoin continues its gains as well but stopped short of a new rally. Bitcoin Higher but Stops Short of New Rally Bitcoin prices traded even higher si...

Re: Counterparty Mess
@tintin frustrating, could the problem have been any easier if there was an LTBC support page, after all it's an LTBCOIN, should Counterparty be expected to offer support in relation to every issued asset? just a thought
its their wallet software that they built and host, so I would say its the counterparty teams responsibility for support. There is zero technical from one asset/token to another, and the only reason we send people to counterwallet is because its the only somewhat usable option out there right now. Cant wait till there are more options! Also the original issue in OPs post is sort of a freak incident

Re: Counterparty Mess
@tintin I have to agree with you, their support is pretty fragmented and not very response.. :S
I have found that best way to get a response is to go right to the github page for the project. You can submit a new issue here: https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterwallet/issues/new

Re: Transfer vs. Savings: Can Bitcoin “succeed” without increasing in price?
Solid post.
IMO, there are so many use cases for bitcoin that theres no way that it will turn into a situation where the vast majority of its use is just remittance services, and with everyone only holding on to it for the very least amount of time possible. For one, Bitcoin is a gateway into the internet economy, which is something a massive amount of people have zero or very little access to, since up until now it has been almost completely dominated by credit cards etc. As BTC grows, it will make more and more sense to hold on to it just for general purpose use on the internet.

Re: LTB Podcast feed not showing several shows
hmm.. looking into this...
actually, just figured it out already. The feed shows posts from the "LTB Network Shows" blog category, and each show has its own sub-category underneath that. There is a bug where the feed does not include any of the child-categories, so unless the "LTB Network Shows" category is also specifically checked off, then it wont show up in the feed. Didnt notice this before because for whatever reason most people have been checking off both the parent and sub categories.
Will get that bug fixed ASAP. In the meantime, the latest episodes should show up now

Re: SEC and FinCEN attacking counterparty & other crowdsales
@shawnj we can create an asset for 5 xcp. does that put us at any risk as the creator? also, the counterparty exchange is decentralized. how do they target an "owner" like they could with a company?
They cant, unless they can link your identity to a specific address

Re: SEC and FinCEN attacking counterparty & other crowdsales
So does this mean we're all going to jail for buying some storj coins?
lol no, worst case is that the guys behind storj (and these other projects) probably are going to face some legal trouble, possibly some big fines. I extremely doubt that they would try and track down and prosecute any customers or individual investors. Its just another step in the U.S pushing out tech businesses to other countries
fortunately we have not done any crowdsales etc. with LTBcoin, so we are in the clear at least :p

Re: Technical Library
sounds like a good idea to me! I dont have much time really to take the initiative on it, but if someone else wants to I can assist where needed

Re: weekly updates?
@coinswatcher sounds great.
Actually, the vast majority of the users that spam (or just post one or two word posts like you mentioned) are from users from indonesia, which is weird. Indonesia is also our #2 source of traffic next to the U.S, which is also strange. Not really sure what that means, I guess bitcoin is becoming pretty popular over there? I have even noticed that same phenomenon over the past ~6 months (huge traffic from indonesia) on other bitcoin sites that I run or manage.
