While most altcoins are getting slaughtered, LTC shines propelled higher by Litepay and a new fork. Bitcoin continues its gains as well but stopped short of a new rally. Bitcoin Higher but Stops Short of New Rally Bitcoin prices traded even higher si...

Re: New Podcast
@loon3 Yes! Great to hear you'll be making more podcasts!
You could stick with the theme and call this series Before Bitcoin
not a bad idea actually, ties in with the suggestion of Cypherpunks to.. the story of digital currency goes back like at least 30 years, definitely a lot of ground to cover. like this written in the late 80's http://www.activism.net/cypherpunk/crypto-anarchy.html

Re: Buying a house with BTC
I wouldnt bank your house on cloud mining income... or even mining income in general. For one, mining rewards pretty much constantly go down over time and you will never be able to keep up with the bigger players. For another, the cloud mining service could go under or shut down at any moment.. You might want to consider finding some alternative ways to earn BTC

Re: LTB Profile Updates
@markxmayer Idea: could you show the online status (green dot) on the forum posts "mini-profiles" too?
Yep, I was thinking that already actually. That will be included with a round of other forum updates pretty soon here.

Re: Counterwallet problem
@cabbotron This morning, I sent 2.7 BTC to my Counterparty XCP wallet on BITTREX. The transaction went through O.K., but I was never credited on my BITTREX home page. I suspect the funds have not yet been released...but when I tried logging in to my counterwallet.io to confirm counterparty was still operational, it says "No counterparty servers are currently available. Please try again later. ERROR: The server is not fully caught up to the blockchain. Please logout and try later. (Most likely this message is due to the server being updated.)"
According to http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/counterparty/#charts trading is still occurring...so I just want to know how long I should wait for my bittrex wallet to update. Perhaps you can assure me I will receive my XCP as soon as the server is updated? How long will that take?
There was a minor, but server crashing bug a few days ago that happened to everybody, causing everyone to have to upgrade or patch their servers. Most things should be back up and running soon if they aren't already. Counterwallet can also be pretty buggy so errors like that happen frequently. Soon there will be more wallets to choose from which should be more stable.

Re: Cryptographic trading card game.
damn.... I literally had the exact same idea man. Collectible trading coins! Buy booster packs of 10 random coins (potentially rare and super rare ones) for 0.01 BTC or something :p
Haven't really looked into the Spells of Genesis thing much until now, seems pretty cool. Seems almost more like a browser RPG though.
What I have been thinking is something pretty much exactly like Yu-Gi-Oh or Magic the Gathering. Collect cards either by buying or trading from other players, winning them somehow or by buying booster/starter packs. Compete against other players in the same style of game - each players "deck" gets randomized, they pick up 5 coins to start, each one represents a monster or specific trap or power. Place coins on the battlefield and take turns attacking eachother etc. If you have played either game you know what I mean. Would be cool also to have a "game pot" that is up for grabs for whoever wins each match or each tournament (entry fee for each player maybe), add some profit motive :)
I am totally down for this
