Hey everyone, main dev of the LTB network here.
As you may have noticed, we recently upgraded to a totally new and custom platform. Naturally, there are kinks to work out :) So any bugs you come across the website, please post them here to let me know.
Thanks

Re: LTBCoin and the start of Private Network Tokens
redrex said: I've been reading about LTBcoin and just listened to an episode of Let's Talk Bitcoin where Adam was promoting it. It's a great idea and I can't wait to be able to purchase some on CounterParty!
You can buy counterparty on bter.com now.
XCP is what you are referring to. Counterparty is the protocol. LTBcoin will be able to be aquired outside of exchange websites (through participation on the site and through the decentralized asset exchange)

Re: DEVELOPMENT REQUEST - "Jobs" platform and the Transcription Experiment
I have thought of a similar idea as well. One thought, who decides that a job has been completed and releases the money? Just the site staff?

Re: The new LTB Platform
dylan said: Shouldn't you call it something else other that the LTB coin or "Lets Talk Bitcoin" coin? I hear Adam on the Radio talking about fundamental changes in Government and company structure like what they are doing with Counter Party, Master Coin, Etherium, and of course the original Bitcoin. But by calling it LTB we limit ourselves to a radio show, instead of more fundamental concepts of government that we are challenging with these crypto currencies. What about Anarchist coin, or Communist coin, or Socialist Coin, or Democracy Coin... etc. etc.
LTB coin is mostly just an experiment, and is actually a blockchain-based asset token (via counterparty), rather than being an actual alt-coin such as litecoin, dogecoin, feathercoin, etc. Also not everything needs to be named *-Coin :p. I wont speak for Adam, but I know that he is involved in much more in this space than just being a show host. LTBcoin is just one peice in the puzzle

Re: BitCoin investments in NASDAQ or Google searches?
cryptocurrency based assets are already happening and some out in the wild if you know where to look. Things to google: Counterparty (might want to include bitcoin in that search term), Mastercoin, Etherium, Colored Coins, BitShares, smart property. tons of ideas in development, but there is also huge room and opportunity for new people to come in with their ideas on how blockchain assets should be done.

sull said: I'm not a fan of WP either, even though we chose to use that for the current LTB site. It does help that easypress.ca are great at what they do and keep the site performing well. But yeah, even though I have built countless WP sites, just not a fan of whats under the hood.
I've built several custom CMSs and that is my preference, though it can be rough with certain client's scope creep ;-) But for my own projects, I tend to build from scratch. In fact, one of my systems has some similarities to what the new LTB platform might be.... It allows for unlimited blogs/users within each "site" where each site is spawned once a domain is pointed to the server (DNS A Record). It's all based on RSS, OPML, JSON, XSLT and has no SQL database. It supports podcasting, post-by-email, SMS 2 factor auth and various experimental concepts under the hood. It was a fun project to work on (2011) but I plan on building a new platform soon and deprecating that one.
Good luck with the new build and if you need help migrating off the current site, let me know.
Passing the torch.....

Sounds good sull, thanks man. I will let you know if I need anything :)Posted on March 31, 2014 at 8:00 AM
