I believe its something planned for a near future update on the app. @adam any input on this?
It has to do with some event that SWARM is putting on soon. There should be details released fairly soon id imagine
we are working on adding more language support. thanks, stay tuned
@barry I don't think it'll ever be at $400 again
damn man, you scared me when I saw this post on the top
@adam hey @cryptonaut, what do you think about letting people claim other addresses from which they send tips?
So long as we only count tips coming in from those addresses after the address has been "claimed", or validated by sending a small amount to a "prove you own it" address we show only to them when they claim it, this could work.
I know a lot of people use LTB on their phones for example, and I dont think counterwallet works very well on there.
Yeah, we could do something like that. Either they can sign a message with their address to prove they are the owner, or we can just provide a one time payment address with a small fee. Can be like a "my addresses" area, where anything you can prove you control you can add so we know what we can associate you with.
@edd Cryptonaut, will you be sending out tokens simply for promotional purposes or will they be for testing purposes, or both?
In any case, I'll be happy to accept some and help if I can.
both. but the system seems to be working fairly smooth now, so mostly will be promotional purposes I think :)
this is awesome, great work
@adam I'm inclined to say we should only send LTBCOIN to accounts registered to LTB users just because that will prevent gaming in a way we otherwise aren't able.
that sounds good to me!
So for everyone else, probably good practice to start tipping from your counterwallet address :p
We are not backpaying peoples tips from before, so I believe it is just from here on out we are tracking. Everything we need is already in the blockchain, and we know the tipping addresses for each post, so its just a matter of looking at the transactions for each of those. This is something im working on as soon as possible
@adam there are two ways we could do this I think. 1) We can reward only tipping transactions that come from an LTBcoin compatible address on file (i.e matches up to one of our user accounts), or 2) we can reward every address that makes a tip, regardless if we know they are setup with counterparty or not.
what do you think?
@cryptonaut Yes, comments made via Disqus on shows/articles will count towards the weekly LTBcoin rewards
Are there any plans to move away from disqus and integrating forum accounts to comment on shows?
Actually, it already does function like that :p If you are logged into your main LTB account and view any blog articles on the site, it automatically authenticates you with disqus, and all comments made are linked to your LTB account. Even with the iOS app.
In fact, only people with LTB/forum accounts will be able to be rewarded, simply because there is no way for us to know the appropriate addresses (if any at all) for everyone unless they explicitly tell us via entering it into their profile on the site.
