Do comments left at the bottom of show & article pages, via the Disqus platform, get noticed for LTBCoin purposes? I would certainly hope so. The best place to comment about a page, is on the page itself, not to create a new forum thread. Thanks.

Yep. And both comments and forum posts are weighted the same, so content should be incentivized to be created wherever it fits best

Do listeners get LTBCoin? I do 90% of my listening while at work or in the car using my Android phone + the Soundcloud app.

If you can help us figure out a way to do it, sure. Maybe a time limited code given to you in audio. You enter in your account before a week has passed? @rotalumis, @mmanville @cryptonaut @deweller @matt @john thoughts?

I like the idea of a code in the audio. That sounds like a simple solution. But it might also incentivize people to just scrub through until they find the code and skim the actual content. Actually tracking how long someone listens and how early the listen to it when it initially airs to determine the coin reward would be perfect but I imagine that would be much harder to implement.

That sounds like it will work. Why just one week, though? Shouldn't you earn LTBCoin even for reading older content?

Because there will be code silo sites that have all the codes so new listeners can use them to farm LTB, don't you think that's bad?
Or does it not matter? It just seems a lot more likely to be gamed if industry can be conducted of registering new accounts and entering all the codes for all our episodes to get a big payout.

Are there any plans to move away from disqus and integrating forum accounts to comment on shows?

Actually, it already does function like that :p If you are logged into your main LTB account and view any blog articles on the site, it automatically authenticates you with disqus, and all comments made are linked to your LTB account. Even with the iOS app.
In fact, only people with LTB/forum accounts will be able to be rewarded, simply because there is no way for us to know the appropriate addresses (if any at all) for everyone unless they explicitly tell us via entering it into their profile on the site.

That is indeed a concern I wasn't thinking of.
I don't know how practical this is, but maybe we could work towards splicing in a new one-time code for each new listener at specific point that varies from episode to episode. The system generates a text-to-speech audio of a captcha-style code and inserts it into the stream or download mp3 on the fly. A database keeps track of codes that have been issued and spent. Would that be doable?
