Re: How to make a token
@pika You should probably use the testnet for now.
https://testnet.counterwallet.co/
You can try out making assets as much as you want for free.
You also need testnet BTC in order to use it I think (which is still pretty easy to aquire)

Re: Melotic: I thought the whole point was that counterparty was a decentralized exchange
@pika I have a feeling the dex will be used once there are more people using counterwallet. I'm sure there will also be a lot of wallets with great trading abilities to come.
Its not too bad actually, iv used the DEX multiple times now successfully. Even sold a bit of LTBcoin on it :p

Re: Images in articles
@josh1776 no, the editor for blog posts that we are using at the moment is TinyMCE ( http://www.tinymce.com/ ). For forum posts we are using markdown for formatting instead, but soon will be using markdown for everything

@cryptonaut In the editor, you can just click on "Insert" then "Insert Image". We currently dont have a way for you to upload pictures, so for now you can use http://imgur.com. We are also going to be replacing the editor pretty soon here with something else
Great, thanks for the Imgur suggestion. What about Tables? http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/need-help-with-tables

Re: Melotic: I thought the whole point was that counterparty was a decentralized exchange
speed is a huge factor here. Decentralized exchange is great because we dont have to rely on the existance of a regular exchange.. but in order for any trades to go though, you need to wait for at least 10 minutes or more for a block confirmation, which can make things pretty slow. there are trade offs for both types of exchange

Re: How to make a token
Login to your Counterwallet (http://counterwallet.co). Aquire some XCP (buy some from an exchange for e.g). Click the "Create token" button in counterwallet. It costs 0.5 XCP to create a new token

Re: New to all of this
Yeah, bad timing with counterwallet, they appear to be having server issues at the moment.

Re: Token view Point.
@cryptonaut You will be able to add multiple addresses to your accout. Only "verified" ones will work for the token based permissions. Verification is done either by signing a message with your address or by sending us a small token (can be a few satoshis even) payment to prove you own that address.
Sounds like several good ways to get an address verified. Could you also make it so that verified addresses can be used to login with, preferrably by both BitID and BitAuth?
Yeah, BitID integration is on the to do list
