• Re: OH HAI, DID YOU RECEIVE 3 EXTRA LTBCOIN DISBURSEMENTS?

  @bcohen I suppose one or more of these non-unique disbursements must be the culprit

  6320.223 X 4 distributions

  9725.7763028 X 3 distributions

  81077.03 X 2 distributions (but I believe this for articles so prob---ok

  http://blockscan.com/address.aspx?q=1DEBWh2YhUFPZBNvJjxZ9a4fixHn8ZMk4b

  so what should I return?

  there should only have been one of each, at least for the ones that were 4X and 3X received

• Re: Official Bug Report Thread

  @gaurand This is not a bug, more of a request, but will you also please add a SEARCH function to the forum. I'd post much more often if I could zoom right into the topic I'm looking for. Thanks!

  search is on the to do list ;)

  and thanks for letting us know about the podcast issue. seems that keeps popping up for people every now and then

• Re: TIL....CAPTCHA and Proof of Human

  I didnt really get the whole proof of human thing on that episode TBH. Kind of just sounded like the guy had no real idea of what he was doing or how we was actually going to implement it, and just writing a "whitepaper" about his idea.

  captchas have been around for quite a while now, most sites use them.. its not a sure fire way to tell a person and computer apart though, there are a lot of them that can be cracked by bots

  @chainradio

  @cryptonaut @btcrevel

  Yeah its planned, will be replacing "likes" with the upvote/downvote mechanism in near future

  Having previously worked at Facebook in a data team I'm not a big fan of this idea.

  We had compiled over 7,000 pages of research that shows offering a down mechanisim simply makes people feel like they shouldn't be contributing. Even if only offered as a spam control system people will use it to downvote opinions etc they don't like and if they can see that happening they will get discouraged and stop participating.

  No matter how well intentioned a downvote system will breed negativity and the research completed showed even if it is said to be only for "spam control" if the end users can see the impact of a downvote.

  @adam thoughts on this?
