  protip: Underneath the post reply button there is a note that says "use markdown formatting for post...". Click the link it shows and it will expand a quick overview of markdown formatting (the text formatting function we use, same as what reddit uses).

  we are going to be adding more tooltips and things like that since a lot of people dont really know it very well yet

  The question is, why didn't we use SMF, vB or any other forum software ?

  because they are outdated and not flexible for all the stuff we are trying to do. The system we have been building allows for full integration with all aspects of the site, with bitcoin, counterparty etc.. basically whatever we want without having to wrestle with legacy forum software (and doing hacky things like maintaining and linking multiple accounts for each user). We are definitely missing a lot of stuff at the moment but when its all done with I think its going to be pretty sweet

  @rob Weird, I didn't intend for the bidder's names to get headline treatment. @cryptonaut, is there a known bug? Is it because I put number on two consecutive lines? I once saw someone else complain about unwanted bolding like this, but wrote him off, assuming he was doing something weird.

  yeah, it would be the "#" signs, which markdown formatting sees as a heading. plus some CSS styling weirdness that I should probably fix

  @jamesmm I received my XBTC on Saturday, Thank You! But I have an issue from trying to convert it to BTC using the vending machine address.

  I sent XBTC to the vending address yesterday. It seems to have taken my XBTC and some BTC at the same time and I have yet to receive anything back.

  Any ideas what's going on or if I did anything wrong? I hope I just didn't pay a BTC fee to loose my XBTC :(

  There's also no history of what exactly happened in Counterwallet, they really need to add that.

  hmm not sure.. possibly from trying to convert a very small amount? I will have to get ahold of the main developer behind XBTC (same guy from Vendd.io).

  How much did you try and trade in? I can probably reimburse you for your lost coin

  yeah, you would see it in your counterwallet, or when you log in to your account here and go to your dashboard (click on your name at the top right)

  If you click on the little arrow in a square to the right of the podcast player, it will open it up in a new window (and start off from where you left off).

  a "persistant" media player that stays even while browsing the site is one of the things on our list to develop

  @mdw They seem to have a nasty bug or two. When exchanging tokens for BTC on their platform (which often takes days for thinly traded assets) if the order is cancelled the tokens just seem to disappear. Happened to me twice. I won't be moving any one token into any other again.

  unfortunately there is not really any user friendly desktop wallets for counterparty yet. There are a few GUIs if you are comfortable downloading and compiling source code. see here: https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/

  I would love to see a counterparty plugin for electrum or something
