urgent feature request: private messaging on forums and articles

I know that you guys are really busy, and are rolling out a lot of interesting technical developments. I know that you are implementing this, so my request is mostly asking you to classify this a top priority. I have gotten several leads reported in my column that I would like to follow up on, but there is no way I can easily do this. From a reporter's perspective, the ability to communicate with sources and readers to follow up leads is paramount.

  I've wanted the same. But until then, putting an email address in profile at least gives people a way to reach you. You could also get clever and put some other contact info into your "location" or "signature" like a bitmessage address.

  This is definetly a need, especially if you want users to do trading on this site... I'm trying to sell a giftcard but it's kind of hard without direct PMing on this site :-/

  Very excited for the PM capability but wanted to chime in and thank you @cryptonaut for all that you are doing for this community. I've been watching the rapid development here and been very impressed!
