Re: Verifying by sending bitcoin
@r-frank @Cryptonaut - I am a little confused. I have posted an LTB address which has been receiving LTB coin for some time now and I am now requested to verify that the address I posted is correct by sending BTC to an LTB address. Which has been verified that it has been received but is insufficient to substantiate and verify that it is sent by me though I can't comprehend why my wallet needs to be verified. Whose wallet would it be if not mine and why would I have LTB sent to it if it wasn't mine. Why would I send bitcoin for its verification if it wasn't mine? What possible evil are these farcical actions trying to prevent? So now I need to send BTC to my LTB wallet then send the received BTC to a LTB address.
Doesn't this all seem a little strange to you? What if we reverse it? How about verifying that the address I sent to is truly LTB by sending BTC back to me?
hmm I dont know.. that doesnt really make sense to me.
To clarify, you do not need a verified address to receive LTBcoin rewards, and you never have had to. I added a note on the address manager stating this to help prevent the confusion
The address verification is required for use of additional (and totally optional) features of the site which are not yet fully implemented. Specifically, the TCA (Token Controlled Access) system. One example use of TCA is having private forums, where you can only access a certain part of the forums if one of your addresses holds a special token (e.g, the JEDI token). The reason a verified address is required for this is that otherwise you could just submit any old address you find which holds the required token (which is easy since its all in a public ledger) and then completely bypass the whole system.
If you dont want to verify ownership of an address (which can be done either by the verification-by-donation or the message signing feature), you don't have to. It is entirely optional and you will still get LTBcoin to the appropriate address either way.
Sorry for the confusion

Re: Verifying by sending bitcoin
@r-frank I don't keep my Bitcoin and LTB coin in the same wallet. my LTB coin wallet is 19bDpPC5bhxk98YK3WPmw6GP2eKDGKmvTr
sounds like thats your problem then. Try sending just a bit of BTC to your LTBcoin wallet, and then sending a small transaction from that. The reason you can't just send to the verification address from anywhere is that would mean you could "verify" any address you want, even if you don't actually own it. Does that make sense?

Some minor updates, more coming later today:
- fixed issue with the LTBcoin stats page where it wasnt counting number of token holders properly...turns out we actually have twice as many people that have LTBcoin than what was previously showing :)
- added list of pages at the top of each forum post
- added "force balance refresh" button on token inventory
- fixed a few minor bugs in backend

Open Discussion on Forum Rules, Spam and Post Quality
Hey guys
I think its time to start up a discussion on what some general rules/policies for the forums should be and the best ways to deal with spam and the increasingly no-value posts (not really adding anything to the conversation). Seems like more and more people just posting nonsense like "Cool thread!" and "I agree" etc.
What do you guys think some policies should be?
Also make sure to flag any spammy posts that you come across
edit: a draft of the rules and policies can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1m62cFEqgiRVC0OKS5lvPJhIbRI_Z2v2OGPGN98WbKh0/edit?usp=sharing
