Re: LTB Privacy Issue?
@thewittyhawk Doesn't have to be just my ISP. Any unencrypted network I may connect to is able to logging that information.
Hence the:
Or were you afraid of a third party like your ISP sniffing on your network traffic?

Re: Should LTB charge for its podcasts
I was under the impression that we did pay for our podcasts already - by listening to the advertisment.
Adding a paywall would most likely diminish the advertisment value and in extention also the advertisment revenue.
To be honest though, I have no idea how LTB is planning to make a profit of the advertisment as it is today though, since they give the LTBc away for free, only accept the LTBc for the airtime and made a public statement forbidding them from selling LTBc tokens.
Maybe it's some long-term thing. Or maybe they just want to help distribute value and don't care for money. All I know is that my LTBc is piling up and I very much plan to use it to promote crypto related projects.

Re: Are girls using Bitcoins?
Statisticly speaking, the amount of females in key positions seems to be pretty much nonexistent.
I know for a fact that there is a few girls using it, and we've had a couple visit our weekly meetups where I live but they're well below the 1% threshold.
Why this is I don't really know, money should apply equally to all in society. I'm guessing it has to do with social perceptions.

Re: LTB Privacy Issue?
I assume that you could simple uncheck the tickbox saying you want to share your profile, then others won't see it. SSL or no SSL doesn't really matter in that regard.

Help me pick an android phone: 1,000 ~ 10,000 LTBc
Before I start to go into details what it is I'm looking for you should take a quick peek at this phone:
Philips W6610/18, Image of the Device
Here's my specifications:
I need a decent android phone that I can use to share my internet connection with my tablet, use mycelium to pay for stuff in bitcoin, make calls and surf the web.
It needs to be usable with the swedish carriers:
- Minimum support for 2G/3G: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_UMTS_networks#Europe
- Preferably support for 4G: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks#Europe
It needs to have proper language support:
- It needs to support English.
- It would be nice if it also supported Swedish.
- It would be awesome if it also supported Esperanto.
It needs to support my software:
- Needs to support the mycelium android wallet.
- Needs to have a decent HTML5 enabled browser.
It needs to have a decent display:
- Maximum of 5.5 inch screen.
- Preferably between 2.5 inc and 4.0 inch.
It needs to have a decent battery capaity:
- Minimum of 4000 mAh.
- Preferably over 5000 mAh.
- It would be awesome if it was removable.
It needs to have a camera:
- Minimum of a back-facing camera with autofocus.
- Preferably no front-facing camera at all.
It needs to have support for bluetooth:
- Minimum bluetooth2 with A2DP.
- Preferably bluetooth4 with A2DP.
It would be great if it also had various other stuff:
- Support for NFC and in partiular my MiFare Classic tags.
- Support for GPS and the faster it gets a fix, the better.
If I end up buying based on a recommendation here I will decide how satisfied I am with my purchase and send LTBc to the first one to make the recommendation; 1,000 at least and 10,000 at most.
To be clear, the Philips W6610/18 is my suggestion and that's what I'm looking at at the moment. I'm hoping someone else knows of a better phone that matches my specifications though.

Re: When Will You Be Able to Buy a Big Mac with Bitcoin?
I'd love for it to be that simple but I don't think that will happen in the next year. Coinkite is close but getting the business to buy your hardware when they already have a debit/credit card terminal on the counter is a hard sale. If you can get one of the current major debit/credit terminal operators to open up their networks so you can piggy back on their hardware that would speed it up a lot without needing every business to get more hardware to process the transactions.
There is multiple news of already existing frameworks integrating bitcoin every month. This will happen. It's just a matter of time.
The biggest issue I see at least in Canada(where I live) is that the Banks own most of the debit terminal service providers. I've yet to walk into a major fast food chain and see one of the independent providers hardware they all are with moneris, td or chase. So getting the bank to integrate bitcoin into their system is the hard part. And adding a second terminal isn't good option for a lot of companies.
Oh. Sounds like a bummer for Canada. Where I live the terminals are almost exclusively 3rd party providers.
Anyone know how the Subways that take bitcoin are doing it? Are they using a second terminal, managed to integrate it into existing hardware or do they just have a qr code there that you scan. None of the ones around me take them.
Each Subway has handled this slightly different, they had no coordination.

Re: When Will You Be Able to Buy a Big Mac with Bitcoin?
@coinfire I've been thinking about the BK Gyft card but also heard some horror stories about trying to use it in stores. I really want to do it but I know my local BK is pretty much staffed by idiots.
I think that is the biggest issue you will have with any fast food chain accepting bitcoin. I can see it now...
Them: That will be $5
You: Cool what is that in Bitcoin
Them: Blank Stare Back
Let me rephrase that:
Them: That'll be $5.
You: I'll pay with bitcoin.
Them: pushes the bitcoin button then walks off to get the food
