Re: 2.25 million LTBC going out to folks with more than 5 forum posts (and an address on file) imminently - thanks for playing! next distribution tomorrow
@arnthorsnaer Only on forum posts? What about podcast interactions?
It's not only forum posts, also comments, reading articles or visiting the page of a new episode for the first time.

Re: Airtime on Let's Talk Bitcoin! [ AUCTION 5 CLOSES NOON Pacific time SUNDAY 7/13/14]CURRENT HIGH BIDS: 23k & 12k LTBc - LAST EPISODE WINNING BIDS: 32,542LTBc and 28,442LTBc for Brawker.com and CoinMarketCap.com
@geofflosophy Sorry for jumping in so late but I'm a little confused as to how people are bidding LTBCoin prior to the initial distribution. Can someone please clarify?
You can visit http://ltbcoin.letstalkbitcoin.com to see how it works but there was an initial distribution that went to content creators of the last year and to the early community here. Everybody bidding in the early auctions was either a content creator who published worked and was paid LTBCOIN or someone who bought LTBCOIN from one of them.

Re: THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH YOUR LTBCOIN
Yes! we have a two tiered system in the works.
There are two pools of LTBCOIN equal in size, these are part of the 25% given weekly to the audience. This pool rewards anyone who has an account with a properly configured address, and who generates a minimum number of "points". They are considered an active user, and so recieve an even split of these funds.
The other pool is the evangelist category - Everybody has a referrer field that is automagically populated by links as you suggest or manually by just putting in your patrons username. Every active user who you referred earns you an ongoing point. If they stop being active, they don't give you a point for that week.
The more points you have, the more of the Evangelist pool you get, and its cumulative over the entire lifetime of your identity.
So you can't control your dilution in the first pool, that is likely inevitable unless the incentive doesn't inspire anybody to join. But if you make the dilution happen faster (by inviting people and being their referrer) you get an ongoing share of the second pool, and if you do it faster than the average person you'll increase your share relative to everyone else over time.
What do you think?

Re: Crowdfund an LTBcoin Project
Sticky'd!
Yes indeed, we need to figure out ways to promote the LTBCOIN reward program and the LTB network - I fully endorse everything said and will be watching this thread for good ideas to fund.
ALSO: If you don't need up front funding, and just want to DO a thing - Post it here too!

Re: Is there an episode of LTB with the permacredits guys?
We ran a talk he gave at Miami, but since then I actually have become friends with Xavier and am working with him on Permacredits.
It is a complicated project, we should indeed have xavier on to talk about reinventing REIT with tokens :)

Re: 2.25 million LTBC going out to folks with more than 5 forum posts (and an address on file) imminently - thanks for playing! next distribution tomorrow
Inside your account you'll have a few options, one of which is "My Profile" - Click on that, and at the >bottom of the page you'll see a place to put your LTBcoin address. Paste your newly created bitcoin >address, save the change and you're done! When we release LTBcoin later this month you'll be all set.
No mention of 5 posts. Are you kidding me? I read this and assumed that i do not need any posts. You can spin this however you like, but i take this as a lie. Very disappointed. :(((((
You didn't miss out, There is more than one distribution :) This is part of the INITIAL distribution, which went to forum users. There's another 6 million that will be distributed in this fashion over the next month or so, so you have time to get in on those.
Regarding the normal, weekly distribution - that starts tomorrow. You've got a forum post, have registered an account and so if you have an address on file you'll be part of it, proportionally.
There are a lot of distributions going on as per our schedule, this was supposed to happen only to people who were here and had 5 posts BEFORE the LTBCOIN launch, but when we switched forums the addresses put in by those early adopters were lost so we're spreading it out and giving people a chance to get in now.
All good?
