Crowdfund an LTBcoin Project

What would you do for LTBcoin?

Can you create a stirring, eye-catching video promoting LTBcoin or the LTB network? Can you create a song about LTBcoin? Can you build a robot that will washes socks?

Discuss your ideas here. If you feel you have some community consensus that your idea is worth doing, then start a new thread with [CROWDFUND] in the subject and propose the specifics. Amount of LTBcoin needed, Deadline, Deliverables, etc.

When it starts, we'll get an escrow account set up to hold all the LTBcoin.

If the idea does not reach its funding goal, then the LTBcoin will be returned.

I propose that when the project launches, the crowdfunding owner will have to send a modest amount of BTC to the escrow address to cover the return fees. And there will likely be a minimum LTBcoin contribution if you want to get your LTBcoin back (e.g. If you sent 1 LTBcoin to back the project, you aren't gonna get that back. )

So let's see if this is something we can get started as a manual process. And if it works, maybe we can raise funds to build an automated system.

Thoughts? Ideas? What else am I missing?

    Sticky'd!

Yes indeed, we need to figure out ways to promote the LTBCOIN reward program and the LTB network - I fully endorse everything said and will be watching this thread for good ideas to fund.

ALSO: If you don't need up front funding, and just want to DO a thing - Post it here too!

I'm working on setting up a brainstorm session with a director friend of mine to discuss throwing together a video script for making a "silent" music based video that explains how LTBcoin works without the need for words. A video to intrigue users to get involved. Here's the last video the director and I worked on. We threw this one together quickly and was filmed in roughly 4 hours. We can do a much better job on this video.

    What a clever idea @deweller

If I have any projects in the near future I'll certainly look at this!

Given the low volumes & price we're seeing with exchanging LTBcoin right now, maybe it might be ideal to fund the first few in Bitcoin or XCP? Thoughts?

Depends on the type of project - Imagine this will more like bounties, so you propose an idea, we collect funds and when you deliver the project or the milestone the community says "Yes!" and releases that portion of the funds.

The funds are IMO (@deweller can correct me) not intended to "finance" the project so much as reward it.

Eventually LTBCOIN will be a "fundraising" token once it has a mature ecosystem, but right now we're all bootstrapping with this token so this just seems like another way to do that without requiring the LTB schedule to acknowledge the project and adapt to every one.

Yeah, think of it as a guaranteed tip. LTBCOIN is a crypto-rewards program after all.

This forum is also a place to fly by some ideas and see if there is interest.

I have a few ideas floating around in my head, but not sure if anything would be worth receiving funding for. I always think how could photography be used - as that's what I am good at. There are way too many people here who can write more informative articles than I can. But I have always been intrigued by working on a photography project combined with a blog. Nothing too heavy as I am a relative newbie when it comes to this world. But I think it would be interesting if my journey includes meeting, talking too, and photographing people who have taken the journey into using Bitcoin to live on or incorporate it into their businesses. Not sure how funding would work for something like this, but I am open to ideas.
