  • Re: Mumble, Open Source, Remote Recording Studios and LTBcoin

    @crimsonroze @adam if you want I can change some settings on my server and you can use that for LTB, free of charge. If it ends up being a long-term thing that people enjoy and you like the service, then you're free to send LTBc's my way.

    That said, I'm just happy if my 100mbit connection actually gets to see some action.

    If I'm not doing math wrong, I'm using about 0.25% of the 100mbit connection:

    "uptime 16:56:55 up 113 days" "recieved bytes bytes 2816345177540"

    If you're interested, lemme know. I can set things up tonight/tomorrow.

    Jonathan is this your private connection or a server you're already paying for?

  • Re: LTBCOIN now trading on Melotic.com exchange

    @jshow5555

    They should not be so concerned with their user security – ‘Mandatory 2 point authentication’.

    And should put some effort on securing some real trade volumes. Volumes there are pathetic.

    But hey, it is not my exchange.

    2c.

    Its a new exchange focused on user created assets, the market simply doesnt understand whats up yet.

    Lets not complain too much, LTBc is new as well ;)

    @cryptonaut add russian language support to the list :)

  • Re: Mumble, Open Source, Remote Recording Studios and LTBcoin

    @crimsonroze I have a mumble server set up for private use. Paying for a mumble server seems kinda odd to me, but I guess the access is "something of value" and thus can be paid for.

    Right, it's like how anybody can host a website but most people just pay a few dollars a month to have it be someone elses headache. Same thing here, anyone can host a mumble server which is why its so cheap if you do want to pay for it, but nobody offers it in LTBc and Bitcoin ;)

  • Re: Mumble, Open Source, Remote Recording Studios and LTBcoin

    @sile16 Hopefully more of the interviews can be done via mumble. A lot of times the host sounds perfect but the guest is very hard to hear and understand. In the last LTB episode it sounded like darth vader was snorkeling in the background...

    Sometimes it really doesnt matter between skype or mumble if they have a lousy mic. Most bad audio is the fault of a lousy mic.

  • Re: Help - am I in the rewards program?

    @cryptonaut thoughts?

  • Mumble, Open Source, Remote Recording Studios and LTBcoin

    Hey all, we use Mumble for the best quality content we generate on letstalkbitcoin.com and it's always suprised me how cheap the service is, it's about 3 dollars per month for a 10 person voice server you access via your computer. It uses a higher quality voice codec (the way it is compressed) than skype and has built in recording features.

    So what I'm thinking is we're going to upgrade our 10 person server to a 100 person server and create a lot of different rooms then make the information public here. Anyone who would like to create a podcast or record a discussion can use it, and you'll be able to pay in LTBc to create a private room eventaully.

    http://mumble.sourceforge.net/

    If people wanted their own private servers, we could host our own and charge LTBc. Mumble is FOSS so no licensing fees or permission to acquire before providing the service for BTC and LTBc.

    Would you be interested in such a voice server? Would you have a use for a private channel?

    @chainradio

    @adam you know I'm down :)

    Hell yes! Feel free to take liberty with the script ;)

    I think this is going to be a really fun promo.

    What do you think about joining the LTBn, pay your listeners LTBc rewards for their magic words, and you'd accept LTBc for advertisements along with whatever else you choose.

    I'm also interested in having an hour-ish (one episode, you can fill the rest of the slot however you'd like) per day that is always content from the LTBn, we'd be willing to devote LTBc in partner funds per month to support your giveaways. We'd be happy to let you use our systems to make the rewards program easy.

    What do you think?

    @chainradio Just wanted to let you know payment will be on the way shortly. Waiting on the LTBcoin I purchased to come in right now. Guessing it won't take Counterwallet long to update as it already shows some BTC pending in my wallet so I am guessing the LTBcoin attached to those BTC will be arriving shortly.

    Yep! the bitcoin dust arrives there first. Do you have notes to send over?

    Also @bcohen is this spot just talking about your service etc, or do you have specific notes?
