Re: [10000 LTBC Brainstorm] My Grand Plan and How should we market the LTB Network?
I think its good to emphasize that the point of this project is to incentivize better content and community.

Re: [10000 LTBC Brainstorm] My Grand Plan and How should we market the LTB Network?
Q: Why new tokens?
Because the LTBCOINs have already been allocated towards the purpose of LTB for crypto content purposes. We can't fit everything onto the same platform if we reach the size I believe we will, and it's natural that as a platform reaches maturity it will become an underlying infrastructure for new ecosystems on top of it, as Bitcoin did for counterparty did for LTBCOIN so will LTBCOIN do for other coins to come.
In fact, I think many authors and content creators earning LTBCOIN will create their own asset they sell to people which then entitles those people to a share of their LTBCOIN earned.
There are going to be thousands of different coins, and you'll use dozens or hundreds with only the commitment of flipping a few settings on your wallet, the new networks will add value because they will also honor LTBCOIN but will have their own incentivization token to bootstrap their own ecosystems.
Lets broaden the discussion, tell us how to do it right.

[10000 LTBC Brainstorm] My Grand Plan and How should we market the LTB Network?
Hey guys, So here's my plan in a nutshell - I want to prove that this model we're trying with a token being used to gather both content creators and an audience together and get them all rowing in the same direction.
As soon as we've got the bugs worked out we'll rebrand this property as LTB Crypto, and create two new independent divisions and coins LTB Fiction (The same model applied to short stories, long stories, anything fiction and quality, non-crypto is ok) and The LTB Post (the model applied to the Huffington Post model - working title) that will do the same thing, but with the crypto part only for the funding and the topics fit for non-early adopters.
Now that we've got a system that pays people to participate, we need to get the word out so the community grows and the incentive can work, increasing the value of the ecosystem for everyone.
I'm thinking along the lines of "Community that pays you!" or something along those lines - What would get you interested if you were just someone who doesn't know what ltbcoin is, how would you explain it?
10000LTBCOIN if we use your idea.

Re: Airtime on Let's Talk Bitcoin! [ AUCTION 5 CLOSES NOON Pacific time SUNDAY 7/13/14]CURRENT HIGH BIDS: 23k & 12k LTBc - LAST EPISODE WINNING BIDS: 32,542LTBc and 28,442LTBc for Brawker.com and CoinMarketCap.com
And keep in mind about 4,000,000 LTBCOIN will be issued end of the week, so it's not like this is going to be a rare asset for long. It's just that distribution is manual and people are still getting set up.

@bcohen @rotalumis, the top contributors on "Key thinkers" ranked each other, and I ranked them as well to distribute the 6 million or so LTBCOIN that were allocated to them in the initial distribution. I'm not even half done with executing that, we're still waiting for people to get their addresses set up and it's all manual anyways at this point.
The rules of the distribution were what they were, and we didn't frankly have that many people who stepped forward to help bring the actual coin and incentives system part of ltbcoin to fruition. If you were a key thinker and did work for us, you were well paid.
So as i've mentioned, as the distribution continues expect to see more people popping up with ltbcoin. The question isn't really how much does he have, since I think both you guys are believers. The question is how much is the spot worth to you, since both of you have quite a bit.

Re: Do we get LTBCoin for commenting on pages via Disqus?
@rotalumis That sounds like it will work. Why just one week, though? Shouldn't you earn LTBCoin even for reading older content?
Because there will be code silo sites that have all the codes so new listeners can use them to farm LTB, don't you think that's bad?
Or does it not matter? It just seems a lot more likely to be gamed if industry can be conducted of registering new accounts and entering all the codes for all our episodes to get a big payout.

Give me a LTBCOIN address? It might take me an episode or two to use it, but its a good evergreen image for cover art.
