[LTB][HIRING 200,000-500,000 LTBC Per Month] PHP/MySQL Developer
UPDATE:
See this thread instead: http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/coins-for-commits-ltb-platform-now-open-source
The Role:
Our second developer working on the LTB Platform
The Responsibilities:
You would work directly with @cryptonaut on platform development tasks, primary requirements are skills with PHP/MySQL, clean code.
The Rewards:
Depending on how much time you're able to devote, we've got 200-500 thousand LTBC from the Infrastructure development fund to make this happen. Ideally you would be looking at this as a way to secure a good chunk of stake (this would put you in the top 20) while helping the project itself succeed faster. The 500,000 level is intended for pretty much a full time junior developer.
NOTE this is a non-contractual volunteer role that qualifies you for the stated rewards from the LTBCOIN Crypto-Rewards Program. The title says "Hiring" to be clear that this is not a one-time role.

[LTB][HIRING 100k LTBC per month] TWITTER LIASON Manage the Let's Talk Bitcoin! Twitter Account!
The Role:
Twitter Liason(s)
The Responsibilities:
Create and Curate the Tweets of the @letstalkbitcoin and @ltbcoin account. Engage with the community, lead the charge on getting the word out on LTBCOIN, and generally be a useful source of information
The Reward:
25,000 LTBC per week (subject to renegotiation after four weeks)
Note: This role may be split in two at my discretion, in which case each role will receive the full compensation.
To apply, please create a new twitter profile and start posting as you would if you were on the @letstalkbitcoin account - look for people who have questions or are confused about bitcoin or crypto, reach out and engage them, help them understand.
The Let's Talk Bitcoin Persona:
The @letstalkbitcoin has more than 10,000 organic followers because when I used to use twitter on the profile I was very helpful and the brand grew quickly, I no longer have the time to manage this and we're under-utilizing it. Having many followers is a responsibility, recommending a bad link can result in real money being lost when it comes to bitcoin so although this is a fun role it is still a real responsibility, you are representing the brand and our community to those not yet within.
So the rule is engage and educate, it's enormous fun to turn trolls into "Well yeah I guess I'll check it out" and that's not by telling them it'll make them rich but rather by addressing their concerns.
NOTE this is a non-contractual volunteer role that qualifies you for the stated rewards from the LTBCOIN Crypto-Rewards Program. The title says "Hiring" to be clear that this is not a one-time role.

The Role:
Auction Manager for LTB Sponsor Sales
The Responsibilities:
Manage the LTBCOIN Auction forum threads on the forum, keep the original post updated. Alert potential bidders, promote the auctions and generally try to maximize the auction numbers and thus your earnings.
The Reward:
10% of the LTBC earned through auctions you run will go to you. The average number has been around 10k LTBC per spot and 1k for display ads. Each time the auction numbers double you will qualify for an additional 10k LTBC bonus.
Please post questions, comments. No application is required, we'll be trying out a few managers and might have competing ones running different auctions.
NOTE this is a non-contractual volunteer role that qualifies you for the stated rewards from the LTBCOIN Crypto-Rewards Program. The title says "Hiring" to be clear that this is not a one-time role.

@b1zarr0 I'm looking for my first LTBcoin. I was out of the country last week and missed the first drop. I hadn't gotten a counterparty wallet yet either. Guessing I missed the first batch. Gosh is this butterfly labs... JK
Just sent you 10 LTBcoin.
Can one of you smart people tell me the USD value of the Bitcoin used send 10 LTBcoin? Just curious how expensive it is to tip/donate LTBcoin and Counterparty assets in general.
About 3 cents, and we're currently working on a solution to make this cheap and easy. Stay tuned

Re: What should be added to the forums?
@popinjay Yup tighter design and search are my two biggest.
The layout isn't bad, but like you guys have noticed, it would be nice to have it more compact and readable. I do like the media player at the top, I never noticed that before!
The media player will be more useful when it is persistent from page to page :) Right now if you leave the page it reloads, non-ideal.
But yeah, the goal is to be able to listen to episodes while hanging on the forum.
That would be great. Mostly I listen on my pod app on phone, but while browsing at home on the laptop/desktop it would be nice to have that feature for sure. Maybe like a drop down menu as well, so when you hover over it, you can select which episode you want to listen too. Not sure how feasible that is though as I don't know much about webpage design.
Oh it's feasible and it's on the list.

Re: why is there 0.000055 btc in my LTB account?
@crimsonroze If there is an official, trusted and working vending machine that can do two-way conversations between BTC and XBTC then why don't we make the conversion and put the fund in escrow when making BTC orders, and then automatically revert it afterwards?
Not yet, we're waiting for both that and BTC XCP
Once we have those, the whole world opens up.
