The Role:

Auction Manager for LTB Sponsor Sales

The Responsibilities:

Manage the LTBCOIN Auction forum threads on the forum, keep the original post updated. Alert potential bidders, promote the auctions and generally try to maximize the auction numbers and thus your earnings.

The Reward:

10% of the LTBC earned through auctions you run will go to you. The average number has been around 10k LTBC per spot and 1k for display ads. Each time the auction numbers double you will qualify for an additional 10k LTBC bonus.

Please post questions, comments. No application is required, we'll be trying out a few managers and might have competing ones running different auctions.

NOTE this is a non-contractual volunteer role that qualifies you for the stated rewards from the LTBCOIN Crypto-Rewards Program. The title says "Hiring" to be clear that this is not a one-time role.

I'd be up for running the auction at least once. I'd want to see how time intensive it is and if I have fun doing it. But would consider doing it regularly if I like it. Obviously you'll get a chance to see how well I perform as well. I'd also want to understand the responsibilities/expectations in more detail too.

@adam What questions do you have?

Mostly just how would you like me to alert potential bidders?

Ok, I'm up for managing the auctions for the upcoming week ending next sunday.

    So to clarify,

The current auction that ends tomorrow is for show 127, which will be airing this week. So the next auction will be for show 128 and will end on Friday? Is that correct?

If you are ok with me managing it for next week, I'll start a new thread and format it to have all the info you had on you previous thread. I think having a new thread per auction makes sense so that everything is easy to navigate for bidders and when the auction is finished the thread can be closed with a link to the next auction.

Handling auctions in a forum thread works, but I feel a proper auction interface would probably be better (at least in the long run) as that would free up time for marketing the auction instead of handling it.

Is this a temporary solution, or do you plan on sticking with a forum based auction for a long time?

I agree, I don't know for sure, but I'm assuming this is a temporary process. I figured it would be worth trying out for the experience- not with the intention of doing it indefinitely. But I also figured if those who find the forums fun help manage certain aspects of the forums, that frees up Adam's time to focus on podcasts and developing the network in general. Which is good for everyone here. But an automated solution is definitely the best end goal for auctions.

If you're still looking for someone, I wouldn't mind giving it a test run either. You could say that my current employment has pretty similar responsibilities.

Yea.. It would be better to get an automated auction platform. This will help all the users and improve the visibility and reach
