  • Re: LTBCOIN for the Audience!

@faceface If you paid people to tweet, I don't think you'd end up generating spam. Who'd follow someone who just constantly plugged ltb and nothing else? You could easily track how many impressions a given tweet generated and only pay per impression (or goal or whatever). Or with strictly diminishing returns you could benefit more organic use of that platform. The returns are low and the application niche... But yeah you've got to think about the 'gamers' ;-)

I really think this could be a powerful way to grow the network.

We just want to incentivize results. The referral approach means that it doesnt matter how you get people interested, only that they are interested and become normal users of the site. So if you're most effective on twitter, tweet it out! We're going to make it so there is a bit of profit motive to having a referrer so it won't be hard to convince people to do it.

  • Re: what if I want to suggest a topic on the show?

@thunderlei Hi, I found this msc-based project on the link as below: http://blogs.wsj.com/moneybeat/2014/07/08/dollar-backed-digital-currency-aims-to-fix-bitcoins-volatility-dilemma/
It sounds like interesting and do hope our show would be able to do a deeper interview on this project. Of course, I am not sure whether or not it is a proper way to make suggestion here. If not, please let me know and will make it right next time. Thanks

    Great idea (to suggest topics)

    I'll create a thread

  • Re: LTBCOIN now trading on Melotic.com exchange

@dpc Is Coinpowers going to eventually have functionality for exchanging user created coins? Getting into or out of user created coins is one of the fundamental benefits of them (even if it is at a huge loss). LTB coin is big enough to get listed, but smaller user created coins will need an exchange that lists them by default, regardless of how low the liquidity is. If coinpowers isn't they should try to find someone who will.

Curated exchanges for user created assets are definitely coming. I can't comment on our future plans with coinpowers at the moment but we're looking at all options that make the platform maximally useful.

  • Re: LTBCOIN for the Audience!

@faceface I read the docco but I still have a question, I set up counterwallet and added my address to my profile here, however, if I make a tip from my phone, is there some way to link that addresses to my profile too?

Also, for the really nice episodes I like to tweet or email my friends. I've heard about some sites that closely track these kinds of social network 'campaigns'. Any plans along those lines?

    Cheers, Dan.

Hey Dan, We're continuing to build out the platform and expand its reach.

For tipping you'll be able to associate multiple addresses with your account where you tip from. For social we're looking at a few different ways to handle it, we do not want people to be encouraged to spam, we want to encourage them to actually bring in useful members so it's more likely we'll have a referral system where people who bring in new members earn a growing share of the "early adopter" pool.

We're still working out the details on the referral system, but it is on the roadmap and not far out. @cryptonaut starts work full time on the platform next week (he's been part time til this point)

  • Re: Problem with iTunes feed and Podcasts iOS app

@kevlar once or twice a week now for the past few weeks, my LTB subscription in the iOS Podcasts app resets its played/unplayed state, such that up to the most recent 100 episodes are suddenly marked unplayed again. I need to manually go into the episode history and delete each one again, which is super frustrating. It's especially bad when i'm in the middle of an episode and the progress is lost, such that I need to try to find where it left off when this reset happens.

Another issue is that LTB#124 is not playable; i get a message saying that this episode is temporarily unavailable, and other shows on the main feed still work so it's not a network connectivity problem.

Not sure if anyone else is seeing this, but i thought i'd bring it up so that whomever is in charge of handling the podcast feed can figure out what might be wrong here.

Its not suprising your feed has been acting funny the last week, we are actively trying to resolve this problem and are attempting different hosting solutions. Its sorta ridiculous how big a problem this has become.

@cryptonaut is on it, all further development is on hold until it is resolved so if you'd like to help us do that, it would be very helpful. Neither nick or myself use iOS devices, so its been more than a little difficult.

    @robmitchell

@richierao Already visit it yet,The price may be too high now.

Looks high to you, but it looks very low to me, based on the transactions (not trades) I've done with LTBcoin, and on what the LTB ads (site and podcast) have been selling for, in LTBcoin. At the current Bid and Ask on Melotic, and the auctions for ads, LTB is practically giving away ads.

I wonder if the trading price will move towards the value we've been implying LTBcoin has for transactions (on average, at least 10X the trading price), if the transaction price will move towards the trading value, or if the two will just remain very different?

It takes time for free markets to find equilibrium. Lot of information to assimilate and specifically with our token, we are very inflationary for the next several months so the price has a lot to do with what you use it for.

Keep in mind that I also am compensated by the LTB platform for creating content, and those amounts are much higher (last week it was a little under 200k per episode I think) so this really is toe-in-the-water stuff and most importantly, our auction mechanic sucks right now.

Take a look at the thread and you'll see why the price is going down - Every auction people wait long and longer to bid because premature bids just walk up the price. Once we switch to the automated system (the vennding machine) it will be profitable to be outbid, so I anticipate much better price discovery and higher overall rates at that point.
