This post is part frustration, part cry for help. Allow me to gently vent...
So I've made it very clear in the forums how new I am to the brave new world. I've yet to invest $1 in crypto, though I have some LTBcoin, a small amount of XCP (you know who you are), and a small amount of BTC (you know who you are, too). Thanks!
Today was the day I wanted to make the jump. I was ready to buy a small stake in XCP. I didn't, however. The reason is simple -- on Melotic, I have to purchase XCP with BTC. So the solution seems simple, right?
1) How much USD do I want to invest in XCP.
2) Buy approx. that amount in BTC.
3) Reinvest BTC into XCP on Melotic.
Seems simple enough, right? Wrong. That intermediary is what's causing me the trouble. If I'm starting with USD, I can't just buy XCP when the price is right... I have to buy XCP when both BTC and XCP are at the right price. I wish entry into counterparty assets were easier...
So much to think about for a first purchase...
So, I'm curious... tell me about your experience buying XCP. Anybody here speculating on it? I'd love to hear what you have to say about it. Educate me!
Thanks!
