    @hesham3del

@irnhnve We are still in a period of mass inflation because of the large weekly payouts. Some people sell immediately upon receiving their distribution which drives the price down. Once distributions are smaller, 'dumps' will not be as large.

Well the price rise again ?

Be patient, This is not a get rich over night event. Almost all businesses go the first year in red(debt) before taking off and being profitable if they are successful. Look at Bitcoin even after 4 years it was still in the 20 dollar range before it took off to a high peak of roughly 1200 dollars then settle back down to the 600 dollar range.

    Yep!

on Saturday the money supply expanded about 8%, you can see the weekly distribution schedule (with the accompanying inflation) here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GzytNblMx8xBmUczX7sPC8QitkJrrRirNrh2AJtjy1Q/edit?usp=sharing

If you're only in it for the money, LTB probably isn't the place for you. What we are doing is trying to create something (a community) from nothing, and give the people who make it possible (the community members) a token that will gain value as the community gains value. If the community does not gain value, the token doesn't really have much value because there are so many.

Before we turned on the referral program the price was going up during greater levels of inflation simply because the people receiving the tokens believe in the long term and do not want to sell their tokens for any price now.

You can make the token valuable by contributing worthwhile content that makes others want to contribute, rather than trying to figure out how to maximize your point earnings. You are of course welcome to maximize your point earnings and sell as soon as you recieve the tokens, but those actions are the reason the price is going down.

I don't really think about the price seriously now at all, there is so little trade and it's still so early (less than 15% of the money supply is in the wild, and we're less than 3% done with the issuance schedule. Long road ahead of us.

Thank you for your detailed answer adam.

    Could you answer this please.

How can we recover the value ?

What to do to prevent this from happening again ?

You didn't read the full post? adam said if you are in it for the money, LTB isn't the place for you. Lemme repeat that,

if you are in it for the money, LTB isn't the place for you.

    :)

I'm pretty sure it's caused by users just selling all their coins right once they get ahold of them.

It will probably continue going down in value for a while, we're still more valuable than doge after all.

Like I said, I don't care about the price - the token is there to let people who are members of our community interact with us in a way that lets them either earn the token via participating as we ask them to or by buying them from someone who does. The price could be totally crazy until there is less than 1% inflation per month, right now it is something like 20%. The point now isn't for it to be worth something, it's for it to be easy for people to get and cheap for them to acquire. We want the most people to have LTBcoin as possble because eventually the flood of LTBc will turn to a trickle, and if we've succeeded in creating something people want to be part of, the value of the token that gives you access to it will increase.

That's not the point, it's a side effect. We need to get the coins out somehow, we don't want to sell them, and we don't want to give them all away at once because then people who come just a little later wil miss out big. So we do a long, slow ramp down.

If you really care about the price, your most effective strategy is probably to save the LTBc you've earned and see what they're worth in a year. Year 1 is the year of rapid issuance and inclusion.

Guys its all about the simplest concept in money, supply and demand. If we get more people to buy the coin than sell, we will increase the price of the coin.

Generally people will buy a coin for its intrinsic value or if they can use it as a payment method.

On the plus side, LTBCoin has created a new, revolutionary concept of proof of participation that has the potential to spread to new coins later on.

    SO BUY LTBCOIN!1!

If I where you bro, I wouldn't worry to much because look at the price of gold and silver it goes up and down everyday in value, My point is anything worth value is good to hang on to.

Whatever the price is, I am happy to earn anything for stuff which I would have done anyway.

Having said that, I have got quite a few now and excites to see what happens over the next few months.

@hesham3del How can we recover the value ?

The value will recover when the audience grows faster than the coin supply.

@hesham3del What to do to prevent this from happening again ?

Nothing, and I doubt Adam is interested in controlling the value. As he wrote previously, if you are only concerned about the value of the money, then you are in the wrong place.
