We don't have Google Wallet yet in the UK? Shame really. I always say the UK is about 5 years behind in adopting technologies sch as this. When I went back home I was amazed at what you could do in stores with all the coupons and collecting points and such. We have this paranoia in the UK - people would never want to give up that much information. Anyways I digress. The closest we have come to a Google wallet is Barclays Ping and then another banking group have come up with a payment system. But it just involves sending payments easily from your phone to another person using the same bank who has the app on their phone. It's just a workaround to having to go into online banking and make a payment. Starbucks also lets you make payments via your phone - via the Starbucks app though.
I would love to see Google Wallet in the UK, not just the BTC aspect, but being able to set an amount in your wallet and use that in multiple shops on a day out. But as I said we are probably a few years away from that.
