I actually forgot tipping was even part of the LTBcoin model, but was reminded of that on the most recent podcast. As I somehow have missed any mention of tipping on the site, I'm unclear if that reward feature is implemented yet.

Is the Bitcoin address on each article an LTBcoin tipping address? It's vague as it stands, so I think that should be explicit if in fact those are all addresses we can tip with LTBcoin.

I think a tipping facility would be great. Can't wait.

OK. Fair enough. It's good to know that there is enough momentum in this project to continue without immediate needs from funds. I guess that in the long term the network itself could sell coins on the market to subsidize those airfares and audio equipment? Also, what about the total coin distribution? Is there a way to see this on the Counterparty block explorer?

    Try this http://blockscan.com/assetInfo.aspx?q=LTBCOIN

You can also look at Shareholders to see who has what.

The final quantity will be 510 million LTBC issued over five years (mostly the first two)

The network does have "funds" both in the form of the 10% of each weekly allocation that go to the Infrastructure/Platform warchest, but we hope to pay as many people as possible actually in LTBC rather than selling it. For now we are paying necessary costs in BTC and will be transparently compensating that expense with LTBC.

Request: Please make the default off-site links in the forum open a new tab. I like to keep this forum open all the time and I often close it by mistake after following an off-site link.

I like how the value of LTBC is shaking out. When you offer an ad spot previously worth $300-$500 dollars at auction you can make a comparison.

If we make a very rough estimate and say the median ad is worth $400 and the median auction price has been 10,000LTBC then you find that LTBC = $0.04 each.

The price is also being set with bounties for contributions to the LTB network.

    It's a growing economy. Well done @adam

So, about 57million coins have been issued? Can we know which address is the 10% weekly allocation to the platform? Presumably the largest wallets are owned by the podcast creators and authors from last year? And the rest of the addressess--like my 20,000LTB address--are based on activity on ltbcoin.com (i.e. number of posts a person has done)?

Much of the 51 million initially created have yet to be delivered

You can see the initial distribution details in the charts here http://ltbcoin.letstalkbitcoin.com/

Here are more detailed documents that show who received what initially

Of my part, here is a further breakdown of about 8.8 million of the 9ish I earned https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12WyPA99S2q5O6g34GQD8vSRZtJpw5h_E45IC4KeD5Pw/edit?usp=sharing

@slim45 Interesting idea for the community: what are your thoughts on tipping LTB with LTBcoin?

On the one hand, the LTB network doesn't need LTBcoin to purchase airtime, so it may not be as useful to them. On the other hand, it's an asset with a value just like any other coin.

I see issues with users wanting to tip content creators in the first 5 years due to their weekly payout being significantly higher than the audiences in the distribution model, but I guess tipping is a habit people are used to and I'm sure I'm incorrect but I just wanted to address this concern I have.

I'm not saying users won't tip, I'm saying users will not be as incentivized to tip.

Nicely detailed info Adam. It would be nice to keep having this sort of report for every distribution... Like, is the weekly distribution 2mil ish, now? Maybe a bit less data though--something easier and less time-consuming to digest? Of course, I know it would take time to create this data...

While tipping is nice, the distribution model for LTBcoins seems to be a a more stable method of income since it does not rely on the users remembering to take action, it simply just happens.
