Yup. Sucks that he is giving up already, oh well though. I guess his post will have to be added to Bitcoin Obituaries lol.
Didn't think I would end up saying this but looks like XT is going to fizzle and BIP101 is probably a no go...
Seems that everyone is regrouping under a new project, Bitcoin Classic: https://bitcoinclassic.com/ hard fork to 2MB right away, adaptive block size after that (I think - website doesn't actually say that right now). Gavin and Jeff Garzik are on the dev team, it and a whole bunch of others showing support including Coinbase, OKCoin, a bunch of miners etc. Can't wait to get this fork over with..

need an oracle to tell us when it's almost "over with" so we can buy in. :) I'm looking to this forum for intelligent nonnoob nonalarmist nonkneejerkin discussion.

We recorded our News show on thursday and this was discussed as part of another topic, coming out on saturdays show. Long story short, Mike's claim is hard to support.

The story here is that Hearn tried to fork, and failed. His 'departure' was a defeat, and anyone who wasn't running XT should be gloating over their victory.
As for Bitcoin classic - this is a political party, just like XT was. If you're rooting for either 'team' you're probably being used.
