Good luck in your entrepreneurial endeavors!
Are you at liberty to disclose the kind of software you are using to create the new version of LetsTalkBitcoin.com? Will you use a CMS such as Drupal, Wordpress or Joomla? Or will you use a framework such as Laravel, Phalcon or Symphony2. Will you use a non-PHP language, etc.0 likes -

Thanks!
I won't be using any of the cookie cutter (and imo, not very good) CMS's like Drupal Wordpress or Joomla. Building a custom CMS using a light weight in-house built MVC framework (framework was made by me but not specifically for this project) - yes it's in PHP (and no its not spaghetti code lol). I am trying to build it in such a way that makes it relatively easy to program in new features or modify existing features, since from the sounds of it this is going to be a constantly evolving system, as opposed to getting frustrated hacking away at a beast with terrible code standards i.e wordpress :)
Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions0 likes -

I'm a professional PHP developer of 14+ years looking to get involved with the LTBcoin project. I've written some web applications in PHP that interface with ripple wallets and bitcoin-based altcoin daemons.
I'm not a fan of monolithic web frameworks either. I typically go with Silex for the routing framework and pull in composer packages as needed.
Let me know if I can help in any way.0 likes -

I'm not a fan of WP either, even though we chose to use that for the current LTB site. It does help that easypress.ca are great at what they do and keep the site performing well. But yeah, even though I have built countless WP sites, just not a fan of whats under the hood.
I've built several custom CMSs and that is my preference, though it can be rough with certain client's scope creep ;-) But for my own projects, I tend to build from scratch. In fact, one of my systems has some similarities to what the new LTB platform might be.... It allows for unlimited blogs/users within each "site" where each site is spawned once a domain is pointed to the server (DNS A Record). It's all based on RSS, OPML, JSON, XSLT and has no SQL database. It supports podcasting, post-by-email, SMS 2 factor auth and various experimental concepts under the hood. It was a fun project to work on (2011) but I plan on building a new platform soon and deprecating that one.
Good luck with the new build and if you need help migrating off the current site, let me know.
Passing the torch.....

Shouldn't you call it something else other that the LTB coin or "Lets Talk Bitcoin" coin? I hear Adam on the Radio talking about fundamental changes in Government and company structure like what they are doing with Counter Party, Master Coin, Etherium, and of course the original Bitcoin. But by calling it LTB we limit ourselves to a radio show, instead of more fundamental concepts of government that we are challenging with these crypto currencies. What about Anarchist coin, or Communist coin, or Socialist Coin, or Democracy Coin... etc. etc.
