Or is the 'news' category for this type of content as well? I was under the impression that unposted news could be submitted here so that it linked back to this site when reposted on sites with higher traffic such as /r/bitcoin. This site would then be the source of the news instead of just a place to copy and paste coindesk articles in their entirety.

So why forums serve crypto news??

Source just to take respect the original editor.

Try to explorer forums. Then ask (again).

i agree with the op, just copy/pasting without adding anything it's just a blatant way to increase your post counter

I don't think that is spam. I would say it is better than just posting a link to an article that you find interesting. Say, something was posted that you happen to find really interesting and you reply to the topic, would that be spam too?

Of course, why spams.. if each individual should post that not posted in anywhere yet, they must journalist.

I think as long as its obvious that the article was written somewhere else and there is an obvious link back to the original source, then its not too big of a deal.

Nothing is actually said about the article regardless of whether it is linked to the source or not. If it's just a race to see who can repost the newest articles then I see no value in that.

I definitely would not consider it spam if certain sections of an article were reposted with commentary that the user is providing in relation to that paragraph, but there's not much value in if nothing new is included in the post besides the original article.

I thought about that after I posted and obviously I really think it is up to the discretion of the Mods based on their judgement of the person - previous behaviour, worth etc.
