The price has been declining this whole week for no apparent reason. Some have suggested that people who want to go on vacation are selling and there are less buyers in the summer. But with all the good news this makes no sense: Bitpay 0 fees, coinbase too (for non-profits). You can see the price has bounced of 420 (blaze it) today. that may be a signal that it is bottoming out and it is time to buy in. You can see that price found support on roughly the same level in the past.

Tell me what you think

*edit: It could also be a lagged effect of the FBI bitcoin auction.

  I think we are really close to the start of a new rally so I agree, this is a perfect period to buy bitcoins.

  While I have been pretty disciplined over the last year about buying the dips, ultimately that is a fool's errand. Recently I got rid of that worry by setting up a recurring weekly buy order at coinbase. Since I always buy the same dollar amount, I automatically get a little more BTC when the price is down and a little less when the price is up.

  The only drawback to this approach if you live in the USA is that you need decent accounting software to figure out the FIFO accounting on your BTC purchases.

  Is it just me or has US bitcoin news more influence than global bitcoin news?

  Look at http://coinmap.org/ to see which news have what effect. News about russia, australia and south africa don't have too much effect atm, news of China, the US or the larger countries in the EU does.

  Sorry guys this ones on me!

  I'm moving into the new studio space and had to buy some stuff with Bitcoin. Fate, anticipating this, started us on this downward slope so I could spend at the lowest value possible.

  I've about spent all the moneys so should be back to normal soon

  Spent a lot of time yesterday pondering this one. Ultimately I decided, it doesn't matter. I'm in it for the long haul. I agree with a previous poster, and buy bitcoins with Andreas Antonopoulos's strategy (I buy bitcoins on insert day here).
