What is an easy way for someone in Saranda, Albania to convert Bitcoins into their local currency? My American friend is supporting one of their church members in Saranda via traditional bank transfers. The fees are high and paperwork monotonous.
This is a perfect use-case for Bitcoin to swoop in a save the day, but the receiver needs to easily and quickly have it converted, ideally into Leke. Both parties can be leery of using Bitcoin. I wouldn't want them scared off from crypto-currency if they have to manage fluctuations too long or jump through too many hoops to replace their current scheme.
I recently posted this question in Reddit/Bitcoin, and got an offer for a local BTC trade in a neighboring city, but unfortunately, they do not have transportation. If local (and they are still hesitant with an in-person swap), it would have to be in Saranda. They are currently transitioning to using PayPal which is better, but I would like to offer them the benefits of crypto-currency.
Any other ideas?
