Hey.
If you get to know me, you'll soon find out that I have too many ideas and too little time. I also tend to be very patient and let my ideas simmer until I decide to either backburner or buildrunner.Often, since no idea is truly unique (so they say), I will eventually see another project launch with similar or exact same concepts.I'm ok with that most of the time. I'll admit it can be slightly frustrating, but it doesn't mean anything. I could always still compete and let the better executer win. What holds me back is my uncertainty, which is inevitable for all projects and people. I hate the thought of wasting my time. Or failure. Therefor, idle.
One reason for lack of fortitude on some of these ideas of mine... solo-dev'n. It's hard to find collaborators. After all, we all have good ideas of our own that we want to work on, right?
I think i'm going to post a few ideas here over time. I'll start with this one and see if anyone bites.
PrismCoin is something I started thinking about when I first delved into the Colored Coin space last summer. The ideas around CCs fascinated me the most when it came to Bitcoin. I love the tech of Bitcoin of course and the on-going story has been incredibly interesting to me. I've always said that its the Bitcoin story that I love.... no matter where it goes, how bad it gets or how crazy it becomes... I'm glad to be a witness and occasional cointributor to the new world of "New Money". But as for the future of bitcoin, things like colored coins and the metacoin layers are obviously where the story continues.
I would like to discuss bundled, portable, distributable asset wallets. As ZIP is to multiple files packaged, PrismCoin is to multiple crytpo-currencies packaged.
Care to discuss further?br>Thanks,@sull

    It could be a wallet in the form of a coin.
    Ironically, coinprism.com recently launched as beta. Going to talk to them, I am testing their colored coin wallet.

    @matt -
    Right now, it's just a basic concept but I would like to talk through it to see if its logical and feasible.
    Essentially, a PrismCoin could be used as a key to unlock a wallet file which contains a variety of colored coins, issued assets/tokens, altcoins and bitcoins. This would allow for doing multi-currency transactions in a "single" transfer (sort of). Details still being worked out such as the meta format encapsulating various wallet (derived from json, binary, protobuf) formats. All that is needed are they keypairs however. Could invent a new format if needed. Distribution could involve Bittorrent Sync or more open source solution for end-to-end encryption and off-block transactions.
    Anything like this being done or talked about?
