I signed up today as well and I'm having the same experience. I submitted it and got a response very quickly that they were looking into it, so I'm guessing it will get resolved soon.
what is it?
I guess its best to think for a unique name one can easily remember before setting up an account so that such situations can be avoided.
Is this something like a business card for bitcoin?
@derhush Is this something like a business card for bitcoin?
It's more like DNS for bitcoin addresses. So instead of paying 15yhM1v9XgE4NQQG3neLhLyUQS7U7k9f3x you would pay +exhaustedcover
or onename.io/exhaustedcover
Onename .io is actually one of the more interesting coming-up namecoin projects. It's basically a verified identity that is saved in the blockchain and like said above human readable names for bitcoin addresses. Mine is +jchaywirin and I;m quite enthusiastic about onename.
what it is for? new addres for bitcoin?
I signed up but Ive never used it. Im perfectly fine using raw addresses and dont reuse addresses enough to justify having a primary/permanent address on onename.
@arief what it is for? new addres for bitcoin?
Yeah,
The faq isn't too helpful. What kind of coins can I receive? BTC, NMC?
