A feature which in my opinion could contribute to decrease spam would be to limit new users (less than 15 posts) to a maximum of 1 post every 5 minutes.
It won't completely remove the problem but it can be helpful to discourage several of them.

Tes , I think this is a good suggestion !
There must be lots of tried and tested methods for decreasing spam. What do big sites like youtube, reddit, FB etc do?
They should start to fight spammers implementing some simple mod scripts.
Did you make four posts in the last 2 minutes? Reported to mods. Did you write 2 one-word consecutive posts? Reported to mods. And so on.
Then we can look at some more advanced features, imo.

Maybe this is a good idea, so that new users do not spam or junk. hopefully it is done good
Good idea. Short posts too obviously. In fact you can go ahead and flag anything even vaguely suspicious if the result is only to notify a moderator.

I fear the ltb forum would run the risk of getting into an arms race. ppl developing bots are already using algorithms that could easily be adapted to circumvent simple mod scripts. If it is an actual person instead of a bot, they could continue to game the system in a similar (but obviously not automated) way -identify the expectations and adapt accordingly.
I am sure I have read about token economies and how the token incentives reduce the amount of content with substance. The purpose and meaning of the content increasingly becomes focused on what to do about gaming the system. So, not only do the users endure spam, the forum also suffers because a percentage of quality posts are sacrificed when users chose to comment on various strategies to combat spam. It feels like a no win situation.
yes, I agree that there is a restriction to prevent spam posts. This all for the convenience of our common
In my opinion all the threads like "what is your favorite..." or "prediction of the value of btc..." should be locked as soon as they start to look like spamming factories.
im agree with this idea it will protect spam or junk
