Fundraising ain't easy. Even now, I should be practicing for my Boston speech instead of having written that post.

There's nothing being insinuated. You should take it to be read as literally as it was expressed. I'm a busy dude, Bro.

Hey @junseth and @brighton36, I love your show and have had many good laughs listening to you. You're ridiculously irreverent and I think this is a great attribute that helps to sort out the genuine from the BS. You're also ridiculously immature and barely-above-school-boy-fart-joke-humour and I expect you'll take this as a compliment (which it is on one level) however it creates a terrible conundrum for you too.
I really think that your constant throw-away jibe lines about Adam and Stephanie are simply indicating a terrible deep-seated sense of worry that you're indeed not doing as well at this work as you could. Frankly it's undermining you both as there are elements of jealousy and an inferiority complex seeping through (yes, it's that obvious). You're clearly intelligent guys, you're funny and you're good at detecting silliness/fraud (which is very much needed in crypto because there's an awful lot of it and a plethora of people ready to fall for it too).
You've got a good show, focus on that, focus on the genuinely interesting and funny but lay off the cheap jibes at Adam and Stephanie. Adam's done a brilliant job of building up LTB and I think he's a very decent human being that cares about the people in his life. He's not irreverent like you and is most likely far more conservative; that's perfectly okay, a different style and a different way of communicating. You don't need to be attacking Adam (he's not "the enemy"); it just devalues your work.
Good comedy that parodies and lampoons people walks a fine line and does it without venom or hurt. As an example take most of the tonight show TV hosts; they can make jokes about politicians and celebs then have them as a guest on the show the very next night). You guys have delivered some tremendously funny episodes but I think you're on a slippery slope to becoming a bit too nasty and letting your own fears and worries dominate. It's a guaranteed way to lose audience numbers.

Haha. Barely above fart jokes? I think we basically just tell fart jokes. And while I appreciate the notes, I can say unequivocally there is no "inferiority" complex.
Adam has been working hard to take the Counterparty project in a direction that is to his liking, which is fine. We guard against it, however, since his direction is... stupid. I suspect your knowledge of Adam's behavior is from listening to his shows. My knowledge is from interacting with him and his team directly. You can certainly accuse me and Chris of acting like children, and we will even go so far as to high five you for the critique because it's true. We don't have the hubris of believing that we are adults. The instant you think you're an adult, you gain an amount of hubris that I think is impossible to tamp down. "I am right because adult" or because "I'm big serious man" are vainglorious sins that Adam has suffered from since childhood. We acknowledge that we are sitting at microphones and giving you our personal farts, our words have as much weight as anyone gives them, and we have no expectation of your respect whatever.
I won't tear from your soul any respect for the guy. But I will say I have no reverence for anyone, and I don't believe in oracles. You can listen to Adam's network, you can listen to our show, you can listen to both, and more. But you should realize that the shows on LTB placate to Adam's understanding of what a podcast should look like, and he attacks good content that he thinks threatens his network's position. Meanwhile, Chris and myself are going to work to produce entertaining, quality content. This post was merely to inform people looking for us as to why we're not on the network anymore.
Just as a note, we didn't start a podcast trying to build an audience. The audience is there because our content is good. If the audience leaves, we're ok with that. We do the show because it's fun for us.

Okay Junseth, thanks for your reply. You're right about the fart jokes; they're definitely something you're enamoured with! Ha!
The acting like children is one of the things I really like as it stops us all getting too serious and stodgy. Only problem is that then when you get someone on who's at a supposed high level of achievement or expertise, you're not then in the best position to really challenge them because you might go all starry eyed and overly "impressed" by the person's credentials (not suggesting anyone specific....ahem cough..Eugene Fama...ahem cough cough).
No I don't believe in oracles either. Also, in my experience people you look up to and respect can often let you down at some point. Have been around long enough not to fall into that little trap again.
I'm sure Adam would have a strong sense of what a podcast should be like and he's probably keen to ensure a certain level of quality and "fit" (whatever that is exactly; it can be a terribly subjective notion). That's his prerogative on his network I guess.
Anyhow, I'll continue to listen. Much of your content is very interesting, you're across a lot of what's happening and I do enjoy your shows. Thanks.
