Just throwing some random thoughts out there.. IMO it would be pretty cool if we could get some of the big/well known names in the industry becoming active members on these forums. What do you guys think?

Off the top of my head, people like Andreas, Charlie Schrem, Erik Voorhees, Roger Ver, Gaven, Amir Taki etc.. actually thinking about it now I could probably make a pretty big list lol.

Seems like most everyone is on bitcointalk.org still, but quite frankly that place sucks pretty bad.

I like the feeling of ltb more then bitcointalk as it has more of that small community feel.

It would be cool to have a lot more of the big names here too however I think it would lose a lot of that feeling when there are 10,000 users vs the 850 there is now in time I do see it growing to those levels as it is all about offering a better service which I think ltb is doing.

I don't think there's enough happening here atm to attract them. It's a bit of a chicken/egg situation, i suppose. But, I believe over the long haul things should pick up, probably creating a snowball effect.

on the contrary, this is the only bitcoin/crypto community I have seen besides /r/bitcoin and bitcointalk.org that is actually consistently active and always several people online

Yes, but what I am talking about is the lack of people here, plus the incentive to post with the coin, means there's very few mentality stimulating topics in the threads. That's not to say there aren't any bright people here, just that the discussion here alone is not something, I would think, to bring in radical thinkers atm. I do think it will most likely happen though.

What do we offer to bring them here?, The wrong way to attract member was by pay to come, not by their passionate. People ( with big name ) come to bitcointalk because their passionate to bitcoin. People come here because this site offer pay to post, not because they are passionate to LTB.

I join in cryptocointalk, bitcointalk, in here, and at facebook group to manage local discussion.

    In my opinion:

BTT: Can high earning by sign.campaign, but i don't like design. Moreover many FUD announces/rules.

CCT: This is good forum and looks comfortable. But the fake account too much. Of course, that's coz giveaways. And, i think attract people is less.

LTB: I like the design and 'Markdown' code easy to remember it. hehe.. also comfortable in discussion while we can get earn.

i completely agree wit Crypto about bitcointalk, we were discussing about it in the italian section and the best statement was "speaking about the new religion bitcointalk-ism makes the radical veganism looks way better than it is right now" :) A wrong word in that forum can drive you to a ban or a public shaming, not counting any new idea (good or bad) not well written or explained makes people pick pitchforks and go on strike under the mantra "scam! scam! scam!".

My idea is not to bribe people to come here because "why not?" but because they see potential in the community at first then to the coin; on the other hand we really need to spread the word and show how great is the community and how hard people is working to improve it. This is what happened to me anyway, came here just because i've read something about the community from a friend, gave it a try and now i'm locked here

I am trying to get some of the better people from reddit to start posting here ATM. If they do come they will bring people with them and it could start a snowball effect.

That is basically the exact experience I had and noticed from a lot of others which drove me away for good. Its ridiculous actually. But at the same time there has been tons and tons of scams that have come from there so kind of makes sense they act that way now

I am surprised Andreas does not participate in the forum, even intermittently. I would think that we were his people!

Maybe we could create a thread with some of his articulate rants, speeches, and critiques. Call it the "Andreas Channel".
