Hey guys. I wrote an article about Counterparty assets today. I'm curious what you guys have to say about it. There may be some controversy stuck in there and I'd love to discuss it, as I am new to all of this.

Here is the link.

I've also added the address of my counterparty wallet to the sidebar, where I'm happy to receive LTBcoin as a tip (I think I'm the only person doing this on the outside so far).

Nice! Interesting to see people active on the forum, then reading their blog/articles.

I was very surprised by when you said you first got into Bitcoin/Crypto (I'm not going to spoil it in the comments).

Grrr, fixed my comment (hate when I don't have enough hard returns, and my response becomes formatted as part of the quote)

Great to have an outsiders perspective, thanks for your kind words. About your final paragraph, I sorta feel like you're throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

2100 bitcoins wasnt the goal of the burn, they would have been fine if people had burned two or three, the point was how much are you willing to throw in the fire when it's time to make the commitment.

Nice article, you're extremely well written. Also, welcome to both the LTB community as well as the Crypto community at large.

As for the proof of burn, I have also had trouble understanding this. I know that it was meant to test how committed individuals were, but burning itself seems like a foolish idea. There are enough lost bitcoins as it is, and burning more seems just plain counter intuitive to me.

Thanks Mike! Other than burning, I also struggle with the fact that Bitcoins can be lost forever, always existing, but can never be relinquished from the ether. ..
