It is a system that makes children accept authority over them. If you blindly live in a system you accept it as total and live within that system.
Bingo.
I'm amazed how well society and schools have trained children not to ask questions...
We place children in a foreign environment, with foreign people, tell them; they are not permitted to talk, or to leave, and they must follow the direct instructions of a total stranger or they are subject to punishment such as isolation and denial of food.
When we apply this to adults it sounds like some pseudo classical "prisoner of war" treatment, but when we apply it to children... it sounds about normal?
Placing children in these environments fosters deleterious effects in the development of individuality, personality and social independence.
Have we been schooled stupid?
No, We have been schooled beyond stupid. We have been schooled to not think for ourselves.
We are taught that only one set of answers could ever be correct, that the only answer is the one that people agree with, this is the same suppression of free thought we are taught to mock in middle school history.
And what's worse, we don't even see the irony of it.
