I heard Stephanie say in one of the podcasts that she's not liking the fact that bitcoin is not something just a very small minority uses anymore but I'm starting to feel like it a perspective thing. She's been in this scene for much longer thus the growth must look big but from the other side as a person whose only known about bitcoin for a year the community seems tiny. So how do we grow this community? Is it going to take a Super Bowl tv commercial? Or some other stupid publicity stunt? Where the good has always gone wrong is that they believe what they have is so good and noble that it will do the speaking itself. Maybe for once this community should use some of the tactics that politicians use every day and manipulate the simple folk into believing this is good for them. Thoughts?

Plenty of new people are getting into crypto all the time, it will continue to grow naturally. I dont really think we need to rely on big PR stunts like a superbowl commercial or anything like that

Manipulation attracts manipulators. We don't need to attract more of those types of people. Those who aren't already looking for change don't want to change. It's not up to us to convince them that they do.
Like attracts like. Honest, slow growth attracts honest, enthusiastic people. Those who want a better world go looking for it and lend their talents and energy to the creation of it.

My point was that we cannot go along with this tech thinking that if we smile at everyone then everyone will smile back. Evil people do evil things to further their agendas everyday. If you believe this is truly a world changing tech then I think we should also do whatever is necessary to further it as it will be for noble reasons. This is not to mean we should get violent, not at all. But we should realize the games being played on the lack of cognitive ability and will power that people have and utilize similar tactics to get the message through. In history, the winners have always tipped the scales in their favor by design, it's just the way things work out on this god forsaken globe...

Bitcoin is not a product to be as you say advertised in a commercial at Super Bowl. I am sure in few years, there will be on Super Bowl a commercial where will be mention. we take Bitcoins. but no way Bitcoin will be main reason of that commercial.

Stephanie is a rights based anarchist (NAPper, at least that's how she sounds to me), meaning she will get upset by anyone that doesn't have the same worldview as her.

I wish I had better ways to explain my thoughts as that's always has been my downfall... I think my cynical view of the world is what's coming out here. I don't see why US can't make xbt illegal one day when the bubble bursts. If you understanding this tech you realize the possibilities with one of them rendering governments around the worlds powerless. Actually my natural inclination is to say why is this not illegal already? If it's not then why is the govt protecting it? Not destroying it?
