How it works.
First, those that are interested, and not using their real names, will send me a private message identifying who they are with their real name, of course. No background checks but if things go sideways, we just shut down the experiment and start up a revised version at a later date.
Second, you will be sent a GETREAL token that will give you access to the Token Controlled Access forum where you can post and intermingle with other real people.
That's it.
P.S. The outcome will be determined by how we interact in that environment. Everyone with a real name will be welcome.

So is the point here to be able to verify an actual person on the forums, rather then a username like pooktwo?

Robert, (and others interested)
When I view your public profile, you have chosen to add your real name and make it public. You automatically qualify for this new group.
Many users do not enter a real name and therefore would need to disclose their real name to the group upon entering. As the token owner of this group, I select people to participate once they have sent me a private message and confirmed they will make their real name known to the group.
Once in the GET REAL forum, there will be discussion topics of interest to the group.
