Today we sent out 1.7 million LTBC split between 419 registered, active users based on their contribution. This was our largest single send and led to the second day in a row where we shattered the prior activity on the Counterparty protocol.
Speaking of shattering, one thing we discovered in this larger scale send is that the bitcoin network can become sorta overwhelmed, and even though we're paying transaction fees on everything the simple volume of a mass send like this can cause things to bog down.
This phenomenon led to our auto-send system not detecting that a few sends had successfully gone through, and thus sending them again. About forty people of the 419 recieved double the intended amount (BONUS!).
Unfortunately this meant that there wasn't enough LTBCOIN left when we got to the end of the process, so 51 people recieved very anticlimatic "0" quantities of LTBCOIN sent to them (paying transaction fees of course!)
This was very confusing, but @cryptonaut and some of the counterparty devs figured it out, and we've corrected the issue with our send system.
If you were one of the unlucky ones getting the 0s, fear not! Creating content all year for LTB left me with a pretty good chunk of LTBCOIN and I've covered it.
If you like what we're doing, consider using your LTBCOIN to sponsor the show.
So enjoy, be generous and try not to take things too seriously.
Not yet anyways :)
