What are the differences if any between dogeparty and counterparty? (Other than)
- Transaction time (way faster)
- Fees (way cheaper)
- Security (theoretically less secure)
Obviously the first two are reason enough to support the project, but I'd like to know if there are any other planned differences.
I was pretty down on the dogeparty idea, but now that doge is merge mined with LTC my concerns are gone. Actually the fact that doge is a terrible currency (sorry shibes, but it was purposely built to be a terrible currency) might make dogeparty even stronger as an asset creation platform. More people may treat xdp as a way to fuel transactions and think of it less as currency to speculate on.
I see dogeparty more as an ethereum like transactional platform and less of a currency 2.0 coin. Most people outside of LTB think of xcp, MasterCoin etc.. as bitcoin currency alternatives but I feel like they are missing the point. Dogeparty has a real chance to stand out. The fact that doge the currency is a joke, but doge the community and network are legit might be a real blessing.
Question 2:
How much of the doge community and ethos can you/do you want to take on? The doge community is undoubtedly great and one of my favorite things the internet has birthed. But it's also silly and cliquey which puts people some off.
Question 3:
If dogeparty kills counterparty thanks to price and speed would you feel bad? And what if quarkparty then kills dogeparty? Is the current open source paradigm still a net good thing? How can it be improved or should it be?
Lastly someone needs to start potparty. I heard some guys started up the project but they kept getting distracted... and hungry...and sleepy.
