  Hi chaps,

  I would assume that the increase in the doge price is to do with the mergeMining agreement with the Litecoin Devs, basically now, spare hashing power from the litecoin network is being used as auxillary proof of work for doge.

  this has given the doge community and coin a much needed boost. time will tell if it is a good thing or not but as a litecoin miner i can confirm that i now have a doge balance available in my pool too.

  Doge is 3rd most popular coin among some average people that dont monitory cryptocurency. As i was 1 year ago. They did lots for promotion. Being early with promotion will help them forever, but they will not stay as rank.3 for long.

  Infrastructure (businesses accepting it as a form of payment) is what gives a currency longevity. Without it, absolutely none of the alt coins will survive beyond novelty status. Period.

  (my opinion)

  Edit: Exceptions to this rule are those coins which are part of business infrastructure or don't qualify as typical alt coins - LTBCoin isn't a "commerce" type coin. Mastercoin, counterparty, etc. Only referring to the alt coin world as we all know it.

  @nicknz Be very careful. Looks like the typical pump and dump.

  I bought in back around 30 satoshis or so, sitting on a couple million, not sure if I should ride the wave or sell for a quick buck.

  With it sitting at 93 now you could sell 1/3 and then you have got your initial investment back and can wait and see what happens with the 2/3 still invested. At least you cant lose anything and are still in if it does go crazy and test new highs.

  Might be the best option you have. That way you won't loose anything and can only win if the price still rise.

  DogeCoin block reward is going to halve in less than 2 days now. This is a perfect time to buy Doge. Buy now, sell at double price after a week!
