Basically exact same thing as the reddit bitcoin (or dogecoin or whichever) tipping bot, except with counterparty assets. Could be cool, no?

Does this need to be a separate tip bot, or can it be some kind of browser extension that interfaces with Counterwallet? I don't even know if that's a terrible idea. I'm not a security expert. Maybe people could have a separate tipping wallet with just small change inside.

I'm not a big fan of tipbots, but I know many people are.   I'm sure there would be demand for this but they are inherently insecure unless the tips are routed to real addresses instead of tipbot controlled ones.

thats true. not too sure how well it would catch on either, most people dont understand bitcoin let alone blockchain assets lol, but it could be interesting. idk, just throwing the idea out there if someone wants it. I could see one being created fairly easy, since there is already a ton of tipping bots, not sure if any are open source though.

A tipbot plug-in for WordPress that enables the site admin to allow registered users to send and receive tips in any crytpo currency or network token would be massively successful, IF there was some way to secure it.
I wonder how Reddit secures their Reddcoin tip bot to prevent hackers from manipulating the balances?

Perhaps a signature with an address that automatically references the post link

There is a WordPress plugin that generates new BTC addresses for each post. I donated to the bounty for it (and Adam did, too, I believe) but I haven't used it yet. One may be able to build on top of that.

I like tipbots. I think that they have their place in the crowdfunding culture we live in. It's good groundwork to have in place.
I do think that other layers are important. But certainly, extending tipbots to Bitcoin 2.0 platforms is something that will eventually exist one way or another. It's akin to the nascar share button effect (a shitload of little colorful share buttons covering all the social platforms that you often see on sites). In the future, I would not be surprised if we had a plethora of digital currencies/tokens to select from in order to send/receive tips.
I have some side projects still in the realization stages that bleed into this service category. Always willing to chat and possibly collaborate with others who share the similar interests. I would like to evolve tipping services in general and humanize the transactions in various ways. ping me if you want to discuss further. br>@sull

The tipbot idea worked very well to help get Doge off the ground and could potentially do well for LTBcoin, especially when it is flowing freely in the early days.

The reddit bitcoin tipbot is maintained by NerdfighterSean, so @cryptonaut, you might want to send him a PM and ask for any advice and if the code is open source.
