@bernhard i make prediction and pay for it? i better then buy or sell my bitcoin direct myself and trade it
Hi @bernhard, thanks for your comment. If I understand you correctly, you're suggesting that you'd be better off bypassing Crypto Ball and simply trading BTC directly. Whilst I appreciate your point, the bigger picture isn't quite so clean cut.
Firstly, predicting market movement as an individual can be very tricky, especially with volatile markets like BTC. Collective intelligence has been shown to significantly improve decision making in relation to market movement. Once Crypto Ball becomes more established the data it can offer traders could well be of significant value. It could enforce their own analysis, instilling greater confidence in their trades, or offer clarity on difficult calls, amongst a multitude of other uses. For newer traders the data could inform their decision making until they become more experienced.
Secondly, Crypto Ball rewards accuracy, irrespective of whether you use the aggregate prediction or not. For example, an experienced trader may predict on a session of Crypto Ball with a pot of 8 BTC. Despite never using the aggregate prediction they're sent, if they were to win 1st place they'd receive a reward of 3.02 BTC - not bad considering it cost them 0.01 BTC to take part. With up to 4 sessions a day, experienced traders could do well out of Crypto Ball.
Simultaneously, the involvement of experienced traders will improve the quality of the aggregate predictions, thus helping those less experienced users make better trades. One hopes that those less experienced users will learn from the data they receive through Crypto Ball and one day be winning prediction sessions of their own, as well as making profitable trades.
I hope this clears things up for you and I do hope you make a prediction on Crypto Ball. @alchemix who commented above made a prediction for Fri 19th Dec 12:00 UTC and given they were the only person who took part, they won 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th, receiving 0.16534249 BTC. That was on a pot of 1.01 BTC.
Saturday's pot for 12:00 UTC is 2 BTC, meaning if one person gets all 5 top places, they'd receive 0.59910785 BTC. If you're a confident trader maybe you should give it a go. Only 0.01 BTC per prediction.
