COINWHALE is as new token issued via Counterparty.

This token is unique in that it provides the holders of the token membership in to the Coin Whale club that myself and a few others will be bringing online in the near future.

I wanted to take a few minutes to make a post here and explain what this token is, what it does, and what it will due in the future so everyone has a heads up about it before things start going live.

Coin Whale is a club where users whom hold the token will be granted special membership to a cryptocurrency focused community for investors and those who are extremely serious about cryptocurrency and the tokens will be sold in batches to those interested in taking part in the club.

Members can expect monthly rewards in the form of bitcoin for being members alongside a heavily moderated discussion board, extremely curated news from the top sources of news in the cryptocurrency world, rewards of tokens from other ventures that we obtain, discounts on cryptocurrency services, products and more.

Think of this like a discount buyers club of sorts where you are rewarded for being a member and you get a tight-knit, highly moderated community that has a minor barrier of entry to help keep the spammers out.

Coin Whale isn't designed to compete with Let's Talk Bitcoin or many of the other great communities that already exist around cryptocurrencies but rather supplement them with a location of extremely curated news, serious discussion and a network of individuals who are looking to connect with others in the space.

Some tokens will be set aside for the development of the platform, the managers and others with the majority of tokens being sold to those seeking membership in several rounds of purchasing.

Those purchasing tokens early on will receive discounts versus those who purchase later.

Example: The first 20,000 tokens purchased will be for X price while those later will cost slightly more.

Those purchasing more of the tokens receive a larger status on the club's site and will receive more rewards each month.

The managers of the club will be using the membership dues (one time fee for each token) to curate the content, manage the site and and help others in a way that we can charge fees that can help sustain the club and allow us to reward our users.

This is NOT a traditional investment. This is not an offering of securities and is rather the offering of a membership to a community.

Tokens once purchased from Coin Whale or other third parties can be bought, sold or traded on the Counterparty exchange and it is our hopes that in the near future they can also be traded on other exchanges as well.

No, this is not an investment or a security so a guaranteed ROI is not given. We will reward members each month for holding the token and being a member of the community through various forms of rewards via BTC, other tokens, discounts, free services and more.

Where do rewards come from?

Rewards come from various methods. The managers of the community will work with new companies, startups, projects and others to assist them and will work to provide our community with rewards based on those activities.

Doesn't that make this an investment?

No, we are not presenting this as an investment, nor should anyone purchase the tokens purely based on the rewards the site provides. We are providing a product in that we provide a platform for cryptocurrency discussion that is built around serious discussion, community connections, news, analysis and other products and services of interest to the cryptocurrency community.

How do I know that you won't just take the money from sales and never provide a product?

That is always the risk with things such as Kickstarter and other various platforms but we aren't using these funds primarily for development purposes. These are essentially reservations at this time for your spot in the community and our development is currently on-going and active without these funds already. While some of our developers are taking minor stakes of COINWHALE.XCP for the work they perform to make this platform happen the sales via BTC (and other currencies if we decide to go that route) are not being used to fund development at this time. In the future we may use some of these funds to help develop the platform further.

When will the platform launch?

While we aren't ready to give an exact date, I can tell you that we are quickly approaching having the platform online. I fully anticipate that we will be uploading some screenshots soon to show our progress and give everyone an idea on how this whole thing looks!     We have been discussing how these tokens can be purchased since our primary focus is on cryptocurrency it would seem logical to allow other cryptocurrencies to be exchanged for tokens.

    The rates would need to be determined etc to make sure it is fair for everyone.

    Having a place where users have a small barrier of entry to reduce spam, other discounts, a platform in which users can provide introductions (much like LinkedIn style intros made on your behalf).

    News analysis is a major piece as well. Having a place where news is vetted, brought in, analyzed and brought in a condensed format.

    Always open for even more ideas.

    It'd be great to get the tokens with a few different currencies. I imagine whatever the cost for the token in BTC you could simply charge the same in currency X to equal the same level of BTC perhaps?

    That is the thinking on how it could work. We aren't sure that we will be doing that right off the bat at the start but hope to have more details in the near future.
