How do you deal with plagiarism?

  @jake15 I don't see the problem here? They reported on a story (as all media does) and cited the original source (your site). It is a common media practice to take other stories as long as credit is given where due. Since they cited your source, there is nothing to do and they have done nothing wrong. Major news outlets like CNN, WSJ, NYT and others do the same thing everyday.

  They didn't initially source me.

  It appears this has changed since I posted here.

  So of course this paints me out to be a liar or someone just throwing around wild accusations.

  Sites shouldn't suddenly change things, then fail to say they updated them.

  When I read it the first time I don't recall them having sourced you. I did not compare article to the one you wrote to see how similar it is though. Not sure if they just reworded what you wrote.

  Plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery :) means you are doing good work.

  I tipped ya some LTB for breaking the story.

  That is true. Which you are. I am just frustrated because I feel like we all deserve better. Why can't more sites be like LTB, Coin Fire, and a handful of others.

  @coinfire are you going to integrate here? Heard something about that a few episodes back @adam was talking about wanting to do that.

  Perhaps we should all make a news list or something in the near future?

  @mike As has been stated above, they did manage to source you which I actually view as a good thing. I would love for my site's content to be syndicated by others so long as they point back to the original source and drive traffic to me!

  You realize they changed it after the fact. After he called them out for it and they saw this link in the logs. They wouldn't have done anything otherwise.

  I didn't realize that, no. This was a fresh thread and nobody had mentioned that, so I didn't imagine that they had enough time to see the post and change it. My apologies.

  Love it here and yes, it sucks when this sort of thing happens but the goal wasn't to attack anyone including the site mentioned but rather see how others deal with this sort of thing ;)

  P.S As far as your list go for it man! I would love to see a list because I love consuming the news just as much as I love writing it.
