    [at]TomOnBTC over on Twitter has been alluding to some sort of controversy for the last two weeks now involving Coin Desk but hasn't released what he has yet.

    I don't know if it is about plagiarism or what it is about but he seems pretty set that it will be damaging.

    I just sent him a DM about this. I would suggest you do the same possibly.

    @CoinFire

    It has been an ongoing problem. It definitely isn't plagiarism. But its downright wrong.

    I have broken Major stories such as http://bitcoinmagazine.com/13165/federal-reserves-bitcoin-policy-begins-take-shape/ only for CoinDesk to swipe the story and not provide a hat tip / link back or mention the venue that broke the story .

    I have resolved this with previous authors at CD. But here we go again.

    I have been mulling a proposal to create a Media Committee within the Bitcoin Foundation to address these type issues and others (e.g. eligibility to receive Journalism awards by the Foundation)--- but I want to wait for the BitLicense thing to sort itself out before bother BF in this regards. This should be a priority over at the BF.

    I am going to send you an email tonight about this! Great idea.

    @CoinFire If Swift or Federal Reserve issued a press release... it would be a different story.

    If i'm the first one who writes an article about a Press Release ...that's meaningless.

    You have to dig deep to find this stuff.

    I just shot this a retweet. Might not be plagiarism, but is still pretty dirty IMO. Can't believe there was not even a trace of an attribution on this.

    Retweeted. How bogus can you be as a "reporter" to rip off someone else's article. They even quoted LTB and didn't mention that they got the inspiration for their article from you specifically.

    That part didn't originally exist in the first posting. Someone posted in reddit a mirrored version of the page where it wasn't originally posted.

    Retweeted for you as well @bcohen. I just got done reading your article too. Not even a mention of their source on their page either.

    This is super disappointing. I thought I could trust coindesk, they are one of the few sources I trusted to give reliable honest news.. Well at least we have LTB and CoinFire!
