  There are lots of reasons to hack a website. One is data mining: passwords, real names, other registration information. I can see NSA wanting to get anonymous people to come out. Another is to compromise the SSL key, which would allow the NSA to use Prisim to monitor traffic over HTTPS to bitcointalk.org in real time or stored on the server.

  It might be interesting to the IRS to want to know who were the people who balked about paying taxes. I mean capital gains and income tax for example-- which I always pay when applicable.
