@dmnyc No. I get the message "Looks like you don't have any tokens yet. Have you added and verified a bitcoin address yet?" even though I have verified an address. The only thing I am unclear on is how to create an XCP-compatible address, and if this is necessary. I currently have two addresses listed. One is my counterwallet address and another is an address I created on blockchain.info to sign a message.

Ok, I just checked out your account quickly and I see what the problem is.

You have your main LTBcoin address, but it is not verified. The other address that you do have verified, you need to check off "XCP compatible" in order for it to be included in your token balances. It looks like your LTBcoin address is the one that actually received the BIPFORUM token anyways. I went ahead and manually set that address to verified, so if you try clicking "Update My Inventory" one more time it should show up

Great - that did the trick, and I can now access the forum. Thanks!

The initial BIPFORUM distribution is complete. If anyone wants a token to access the forum, post your address and I'll send one along. Please remember that the token has no trading value, it is purely for forum access.

Can you explain in detail what bip38 wallets are, I can't find any information in this forum.

In similar situation and having problems verifying. Have used both Counterwallet and Blockchain.info to sign message, but keeps returning "Invalid". Counterwallet is also failing to send anything at the moment (does it ever work?), so have no means of verifying my address.

@firstcoin BIP38 or Bitcoin Improvement Proposal #38 is an implementation of passphrase-protected encrypted private keys for the Bitcoin protocol. BIP38 encrypts and encodes a private key by making it passphrase-protected in the form of a 58 character printable string. The weakest part of encryption is typically the user's passphrase so it is very important to use a strong passphrase when encrypting your private keys.

BIP38 allows us to securely print a customer's private keys with the peace of mind that only the customer knows the passphrase to access the wallet. Please take the time to learn about BIP38 by reading the proposal on GitHub here.

Do we have to send a "donation" to verify our wallets? I mean, isn't me participating on the forum enough for it to be verified?

There seems to be a problem with counterwallet that signs an invalid message.

I also do not have sufficient funds on that address to make a donation. Is there any way it can be manually verified by mods or admins?
