Vennd.io is a payment mechanism in which you put btc in and get your own cryptocurrency out. It is a crowd funding tool. If you are not familiar with Vennd.io, see LTB Podcast #113 See the transcript as well.
Swarm used Vennd (I think) for distribution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBBvay6n5kc

Has anyone tried building a Vennd Server? I've been messing around with it on the testnet for the last week or so. I have a few ideas about how I could use it and wanted to try it out a bit. It seems to work ok but does some odd things, like when a payment received is greater than 0.1 BTC it just marks the payment as 'valid' and never gets paid.
I'm not really sure if there's much energy behind the project. Besides the web site http://vennd.io and the github repository information seems thin on the ground. I can't find any forums discussing it. Just wondered what other people thought of the project.
Thanks,
Jason
@lostdroid Have you tried contacting him? From the github page: "Feel free to contact me [email protected] on just about anything."
I have been sending BTC to Vennd and getting tokens that I created in return all on the testnet. It seems to work OK but I've not heard much about Vennd recently. The web site has been say 'Vennd is launching soon' for quite a while now and there's not been much activity on github recently either. So really I'm just trying to work out if it's going anywhere.
Having said that, being a Java programmer the Groovy code is easy enough for me to work with so if I did start using it I should be able to deal with any issues.
